The clock's just gone over 50000, most of it done by me in the 7-8 years I've had the bike. So that, as mentioned elsewhere, makes my Fazer pretty much worthless. It seems that, no matter how well it runs or how well it's maintained, most buyers are petrified of perceived high milages, even though it only works out at a bit over 3000 miles a year.Well, more fool them! I've yet to see a bike that will do all the things I want it to with ease and in comfort, so I've no plans to change and I'm looking forward to the next 50000 on the Fazer.
I have 2 Gen 1s. One of them, which I've had from new has done over 160,000 miles, still on its original clutch, wheel bearings and suspension. Theres no fairing as I've crashed it 3 times but still managed to ride it home, the last time with a broken wrist! Brilliant bike, I can't bring myself to part with it despite having 4 other 'better' bikes.
