Just thought i'd share that i bought these rear caliper seals, fitted properly no problems, cheap as chips, ok original yamaha is of course where its at, but for someone looking to replace their seals  without the feeling of getting gang raped for £26 for 4 bits of rubber this is where it's at.

I can say that i would definately buy them again, even if they last a year they are still worth every penny.

I wish this had been posted a month ago.

I did indeed get gang raped for £26, actually £34 after delivery to Europe  :'(

Have you put many miles on them? no leakage at all to make me feel better?

Clean the caliper at least twice a year with a toothbrush and brake cleaner, then apply a good smear of Red Rubber Grease on the pots each time and it will keep the caliper in good nick for much much longer.
I do the fronts as well, but obviously they are more time consuming.

I only ever use ceramic pads on the rear too, to keep the dust down, rather than organic pads which create more dust that causes all the problems.

Yeah, they should last years if the calipers are looked after regularly.
Prevention is far easier than cure as well.

I meant if they last a year until i have to buy another set i'll be happy, if they last 2/3/4/5 years thats a bonus, the originals did a helluva good job
Darrsi - which ceramic rear pads do you use ??

Upon fitting, the seals should be smeared with Red Rubber Grease as well.
Firstly it makes the pots easier to slide in, but will also prolong the life of the seals themselves.
I've been using SBS ceramic pads on the rear.
I've had Galfer pads on the front for years now, and they've been outstanding.
The pads have worn completely evenly, not crumbled in any way, and the discs look totally untouched. Admittedly i've never been a heavy braker but they really have served my bike well, taking into consideration i ride all year round in all weathers.

They're not harsh on the discs, and definitely don't create as much dust as organic pads do.
I ride in traffic a lot so like to have a sharp and responsive feel on my rear brake, which you won't get if it's clogged up with dust.
