It's Power black/matt black metallic 2 but all the info is there when you input your year/make of bike etc.

Just done parts of my black engine gen1 with RS paint, not cheap but almost impossible to tell the difference between old & new. If your scratches are large enough & in a position that you can use an aerosol rather than touch up brush it will blend in better. Don't forget your etch primer, you can use Halfords grey etch primer rather than buy RS as Halfords is compatible with the black RS gen 1 engine paint. If you want a pic of my engine let me know & i'll bung one up for you.

i'm with Bennetts this year & they allow 16 modifications as standard any not on that list you have to declare, full list & details of mods etc on their website.

Your call bud but as mentioned i have used it on at least 7-8 bikes previously with no problems, the last being the z1000 that is shown in the picture test area on this forum. I had done 2-3000 miles on that bike after i painted the engine. Iv'e just ordered some more from RS as there is a bit of tidying up on the engine of my newly acquired 04 thou.

One mans "MINT CONDITION" is another mans bag o shite, i was looking at private sale & dealer bikes for around 3 months until i got my gen 1 1000 last week. I know i paid a bit over the odds with it being a dealer sale but the good uns aren't on sale for long, same old story though, i saw many -20,000 mile bikes that were top dollar, as rough as a dogs arse & needed a good few hundred quid spending on them to get through the next M.O.T.

Yes, i used the colour matched engine paint & because it is specified as engine paint it has to be heat resistant. Don't forget your etching primer.

I used rs a few years ago on my first gen 1 1000 it was a very good match & have used their engine paint many times since for other bikes & never had any issues.

Got this on Saturday morning, just had a bit of time to wheel out for a quick pic. 2004, nice condition, loads of service history, 2 previous owners, looks bog standard but have a receipt for a change of fork oil & the forks dropped 5mm. I have the previous owners old V5C so i'm going to drop him a line to see if there are any less obvious mods that have been done.
