Why the camo` netting??

It's a rule of the syndicate that all vehicles are covered with netting !! It's because there are a few houses overlooking the lake ! It's a bit of a pain but that's the deal .

Tried to adjust the exup valve cables as there was a 7k fault code, and found out the valve has seized solid! Bugger!

Repair, or fit 4-1 exupless system?
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!

Strip it out and copper grease / graphite grease it, then make sure you give it the "full beans" every now and then. Mine started sticking not long after I got it, quick clean up and grease sorted it, make the valve work every now and then to reduce chance of it sticking again.
The voices told me to do it !!

Yeah, I know how to fix it. Just fancy doing something different and wondered if anyone has already done it with decent results?

I would PM Mike (Falcon) on that one Stevie. I believe he has an R1 of similar vintage, and as you know, what he doesn't know about these engines ain't worth knowin'.  :thumbup

As I have been booted off the "What did you do with your Fazer today?" thread for posting up comments about Kwaks and Peugeots (you bastards!  :lol :lol ), I'm throwing the toys out of the pram, and making my own thread. So there.  :b

So, if you have a nice car, other bike, or even a nice girlfriend (ooh err missus!  :eek ) - what did you do with it today?

I'll start: Cancelled the insurance on the ZX4... And got a pittance back (compared to what I paid the fuckers). :'( :'( :'(

And put fuel in the Peugeot  :car . Foc me, I'm only getting 57mpg out of a diesel!  :eek I miss my bikes...  :'(

Sorry to say - bought a Triumph Daytona 600 2004 and sold the Fazer  :rolleyes  ...... Let the flaming commence. Will miss the box-eyed bastard.
See you on the A3...

went for a run on the Monkey bike--with new massive 125cc engine--life at 55mph max is quite interesting.

Just spent about 2 hours brushing and vacuuming the dog hairs from the car upholstery (the dog, that was my dad's, has gone to another home). If ever I carry another dog in the car, I'm gonna wrap the damn thing in cling film first!  :grumble

My car had more hair in it than my dog had on himself.......actually the dog would get out of the car and brush himself down to get rid of all the extra hair he'd just picked up :lol

A 2 minute drive to my friendly local crew of mixed foreigners who talk no english and an hour later and woola!.......sparkling inside and out.....£15......worth every penny i say. 8)

Just spent 2 more hours washing the outside and cleaning all the interior panels - just around the door sills to do now; there's green growths all around there where my dad used to take him to a local lake to go for a swim - yuk! There's probably someone around here I could have taken it to Noggy, but as it's now my car, I thought it would be good to give it a good lookover - this was one way of doing it. Next time, I'll throw a few quid at someone else though probably. Now I've got no energy to wash the bike and we can't ever have the car take precedence again, can we now!  :lol

Just finished the comfort kit on the R1 and been for a test ride. It's a proper thug bike again >:D

There's the odd cable that's a bit snug, but I'll sort that out soon enough.
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!

Just put some heated grips on the Thundercat in prep for the rapidly approaching bad weather. Toasty digits :P

Also ordered a touring reservoir for the scottoiler. This bikes a keeper methinks.

Fitted a Scottoiler touring to the Thundercat, fitted a basic Scottoiler to the R1, replaced the choke cable for a longer Fazer one, stripped the exup valve and straightened it as it was sticking!
Just got the forks to rebuild now
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!

I went to Oulton Park on the XJ600. Spent all day there at the Hottrax meeting.

Embarked upon the epic quest to complete the maintenance and work required on my car... new gearbox, exhaust, timing belts and possible clutch

Tonight's saga involved getting the car up in the air and removing the battery, front wheels, clutch slave cylinder, gear selector mechanisms and driveshafts.
