Where is the red rubber grease used Dave?
What's used for the swingarm pivot?

Red rubber grease is used for the brake pistons mate. YOu could use it for the swingarm but its a bit pointless - normal lithium grease is whats normally used on bearings as its good and cheap!

As Joe says,Andy.
A light smear of redrubbergrease on the outside of the brake caliper pistons, helps keep out the water & s**t that eventually leads to seizing/sticking brake pistons, also helps piston/rubber seal interface.
Copper grease on back of brake pads(sparingly) and on any fastener that might be liable to corrode /seize-again only v. little needed.
Steering bearings, swing arm & rear suspension pivots-Lithium based grease as per Yamaha manual.
