my alarm drains my battery in about 3 weeks if I don't use my bike, the battery was replaced a year ago and is not subjected to cold temperatures here.
the bike will turn over, but doesn't have enough juice to make it fire.

Not been here for a while.... so im sat here just as the sun has gone down. got me thinking, how many over seas members are there and where?

Me, im in a suburb 40mins south of Perth in Western Australia and just 8 mins to the beach 8) .. we emigrated complete with bike in 2016 from Buckinghamshire. ridings is not the same here, you dare not ride around dusk or around dawn due to the daft feckin roo's.
but the suns great, though.... its to hot to ride in bike gear in the summer :rolleyes
not seen a single fazer over here yet... am I a minority :lol

I used to get this.. could hear it around 30mph or so... it went after I had tyres fitted and the fitted gave the speedo drive in the wheel a thin smear of grease.

Never been a fan of louder pipes myself - dont see the point. How often do we comment on twat boyracer car drivers with baked bean size noisy exhausts, -----------stones and glass houses.

The excuse about car drivers hearing us is just a smoke screen and pointless. Unless you do what I have done here

how does your bike cope with the back pressure problem with the front firing system... :lol

hi guys, ive surfaced again ;)
well my 600 fazer arrived in perth wa last week... now I need a little advice here.... my tyres are a bit borderline and the bike needs to go over the pits to be certified here, then I can apply for rego.

I'm trying to find tyres for the bike...  110/70/17 front seems to be a problem to source.

so, could I get away with 120/60/17 ? or 110/80/17? ... dunno if that would handle well?

or where to source tyres in wa or aus, either online or in store.

anyway... for the poms in the uk... its around 30c here and lovely and sunny... down side... cant use my bike yet. :( :(

well that's it, in 7 days we emigrate to Australia, hence why ive not been on here... we have a list that each time we tick off it gets longer.
anyway the bike goes in the crate on Tuesday and wont see the light until some time in January.. that's if some pirate aint buzzing around on it.

are there any aussie members on here in the Perth area??

its been fun biking in the uk for the last 32 years on and off...now to do it in sunny climes.

« on: 17 September 2016, 02:00:05 pm »
I'm with hastings this year, I was with them last year too. my cover last yr was £109 fc.... the renew price was £140... went online and got quoted £78 as a new policy with hastings, so rang them and told them and they brought it down too that so I didn't have to mess about online.

« on: 02 September 2016, 08:57:03 pm »
I tried one years ago.... best way to describe it..... it had hinges in the middle.... I bought a GSX400 , smiles better ... more torque more power.. and with a bit of tweeking handled well for a 1/4 ton bike.

FZS600 Fazer / i know its been asked before... but
« on: 27 July 2016, 06:51:37 pm »
its proberbley been covered a hundred times before.... but here we go..  Maxxis tyres, who uses them and whats you opinion of them ?
I was looking at the supermaxx touring 6029 tyres as they seem a good price from round n blacks.
I have bridgestones at the moment and they had give good levels of grip all round but have now been chewed to bits.. ive used dunlops in the past on my gsx1400 but they don't last long , but offer very good levels of grip.

so anyway... Maxxis... views, good and bad.

23
i went along for a bit....walked up n down... more to look at in the car park...not much to buy, things can only get better i guess.

24
if ive time i may pop along to this, as its not far from me.

dunno if anybody else is interested?? :rolleyes
