I've seen some vans which have a little dome with a "security camera" stuck on the side, so they'll get the number plate as you go past.
I dont see how this can work unless you did not see the van at all and you stayed over the speed as you went past. So you are over the limit and see the van pointing at you ----youve been got but the picture shows a rider with 60mph inprinted in the readout from the front. so the camera needs to get you from the back because it needs your plate when you go past BUT that print out with speed says 50mph because you saw the van and slowed down so the photo with your numberplate says 50mph

Oh damit ive just spotted thatthis was an old thread that that has been reserected by a spammer, why dont mods remove

Thank you all for your help. I have gone for the GP pros 2013 model. I went to MCA Leicester and they were great I tried on the med then the Large about 10 times - sat on my bike with them everything and convinced myself that I should go for the tighter M so they can bed in. And I think it was astep too far my palms are not big but my fingers are long and were stuffed to the ends, my thumb got pins and needles, the armour in the pinky dug in to my knuckles and the wrist strap was more on the bottom of the hand rather than around the wrist. The issue was that the large felt perfect from the start but everything I read said get a tighter fit and they will stretch. The good news is that I got them exchanged at MCA and cannot thank them enough, I now have the large and they fit perfect, still need bedding in here and there. I'm thinking that yes leather will stretch but only if it is being stretched by hands too big for them. I did not quite know how I would get on with the last 2 fingers being stitched together but I 100% do not notice it as they are separated by 1/2 inch of leather and just upto the knuckle. I never thought about it before but I actually only use 1 finger to brake, all four are on the leaver but im only using the middle one most of the time unless I really need extra and then the others join in.

There's cheaper ones on eBay and I've found them to be rubbish not setting properly!

Yep that is the exact one I am looking into trying but robbus has put me off a bit  with this

I didn't find them that effective possibly because the ear is squished in to a different shape when in the helmet so the plug doesn't fit snugly

I am also looking into the docs proplugs

You know one of the questions the insurance ask you. "do you have any modifications" what on earth are you going to say. And you do know that your insurance in any mis hap will be null and void

Now I have been doing a lot of reading up and reading reviews I think I will be finding somwhere to try on the Alpinestars gp pro -1st choice and the handroid.
Phil - thank you for the ride results, i am now trying to find the full ride review of all the gloves, I wonder it the gp pros were the new 2013 version.
On reading up on gloves I can now see how rubbish mine are, if you look at my pic and see the black palm double layer leather over the white, with yellow triangle sticthing----- WRONG it is not a double layer as it is designed to make you think, the white ends and then the black starts - it is only 1 layer W.T.F . So what else is going to be crap on these gloves, ive been risking my hands in these

I dont think that winter gloves as a whole have better protection at all, as do they not spend all their time adding insulation and there dosent seem that there is any room left for protection. My winter gloves (pic) I liked as they look like they offer some protection and I would say that they give an extra  1/2 hour before I start to feel the cold. They are thicker and I do not like riding in them and long for the wether to wear my summers again

I have seen a review although from the mk 1 handroid version where the cobra dial got pushed through the glove and into the riders fore arm and another one where one of the finger bars snaped and sliced into the finger.

Its those bars along the fingers (handroid)that just look like an extra hazard to me- are they sposed to stop your fingers bending backwards

"Yeah, with A*, Dainese you're largely paying for the name, you don't need to spend that much for good protection."
That is what is niggling me and I know it to be true, Perhaps I should of said I do have some winter gloves, actualy triumph branded. and my summer gloves are hein gerrik race that I have had for about 4 years and cost £39.99, there is nothing wrong with them, I just feel I could buy more protection, say I had an off and the gloves split open, I could never say that "well at least I bought the best I could (there was) I would always be thinking that maybe if only i spent a little more.
I do not comute, and i only ride for fun and when the wether is dry.

Dont get me wrong I would rather pay  the £150 than the £250 I keep looking at the alpinestars gp pro against the daineese full metal and can not see i get £100 more protection, the handroid ones look a bit clumbersome and all that stuff on them in my mind is just adding bits to stab me with in an off. Although I have a good budget I dont just want to pay the extra for a name if I can get the same protection from somthing else

Ok had a search and cannot find anything on here but im in the market for some new summer gloves- no need for any waterproof. I have been looking into  Dainese full-metal gloves, alpinestars gp, and Knox handroid. Just been googling and stuff so far and I know my final decision will come from a real life fit test for each candidate. My hands are slim with long (ish ) fingers but not small hands. Any help and advice would be appreciated especially any crash tests.Willing to spend £150-£250[/font] Cheers all

Just grabbed a standard screen off fleabay so hopefully my motorway slogs will improve in the near future.

(from my post above) I am 5"8 and had a standard screen and got a double bubble one went out for a run with normal and quickly put on the bubble for a test ----- no difference.

Yamaha one which died from corrosion after only four years. That was followed by an aftermarket one off eBay (can't recall the make) which lasted two years and then a Delkevic one which is just beginning to leak after a mere 15 months.
As far as I know you are sposed to put anti freeze in the rad---- why are you useing acid !

FZS600 Fazer / Re: Crash Bungs
« on: 22 August 2013, 09:38:27 am »
I have just the smaller lower bars which you hardly notice, I think the issue with the bungs on fzs600 is where they fit to protect just provides a pressure point on the frame whereas the bars spread the load, and on our bikes the bungs have to be so large inorder to stickout further than the bits protected that they too look ugly. other bikes can get away with mushrooms or shorter bungs.
