LOFO trip to Portsmouth - Sunday 4th June
« on: 09 May 2017, 11:42:31 am »
Hi All,

Anyone fancy one of our days out to Portsmouth on Sunday 4th June?  Usual affair, Loads of cafe stops, Breakfasts, piss taking, bike maintenance checks by Red, A272, Dazza's dogging tours, getting lost, lots of smiles.

That's a bugger. I'm based in Portsmouth, but I'll be working in London on the 4th of June! :(

Guys, where was that place near Portsmouth that we ended up at last year?  It was on a big hill overlooking Portsmouth.  We stopped in a carpark by a tea van, but before we go there, there was a military/fort kind of place.  Does anyone remember what that was?

Was thinking it might be nice to try and go somewhere for a walk round as well as the ride, or going on past adventures is it best to take the day as it comes?

Morning all  :)

Rough plan for next week (weather allowing):

Ususal 0800 at Nell's Cafe for us Kentish/Essex Foccers for the first Breakfast of the day.

We can then head accross to Cowfold Tea Hut and meet others there for say 11.00am?

Then the A272 to Loomies and then, well who knows..... let's get to Loomies first!  :rollin

HH,
Will you be leaving Gravesend on the A227.If so I could meet you at the roundabout at the bottom of Wrotham Hill where the A227 meets the A20, or outside the garage just before the Oakdene, with whoever else can make it.

I say 8.00 but we know that to most foccers that means any time between 8.00am and 10.30!!  LOL  I am also allowing breakfast time in there too.

I am kind of assuming we will leave Nell's around 0900 ish, and I'm hoping that by adding on an extra half hour we can't be late!!!   :lol 8)

Eah?  Who wrote that??  ;)

We normally head out through Cuxton, out towards the hop farm and out towards Tunbridge Wells to pick up the A272.  Any of that any good to you, Robbo?

HH,
I'll do my best to meet you at Nell's,which will be easiest all round. If I don't get up in time due to late Saturday night music gig, I'll see you at The Chalet. Either way I can grab some breakfast.

If you're planning on having a breakfast at the Chalet, better order it before you leave home  :D
