« on: 31 December 2015, 01:49:09 pm »
Found a very small hole in my exhaust can (2-3mm)..what's the best method of repair..? Heard a few options from pop rivets to self tapping screw, but I'm thinking it could be repaired by brazing..? Any advice much appreciated

FZS600 Fazer / Acerbis Dual Road Handguards..
« on: 19 November 2015, 04:15:44 pm »
Got a set of these Acerbis Dual Road Handguards, but have a slight problem fitting them. These hand guards fit into the bar ends, but when I remove the bolt for the bar end weights, the bolts supplied with the hand guards are considerably bigger than the bar end weight bolts, and so will not screw in. I could use the bar end weight bolts but they're not long enough. So is it possible to get longer bar end weight bolts, or is it even possible to remove the bit inside the handlebar in the hope that there is a bigger screw hole available for the Acerbis bolts to fit into..?

FZS600 Fazer / TPS Issue..
« on: 18 November 2015, 09:13:38 pm »
Looks like the TPS has chucked it on my '98 Fazer 600. So I'm now after a replacement, do any of you guys know if the TPS from a 2004-2006 Fazer 600 would be suitable for my '98 model..?

Or if anyone on here has a spare they would sell that would be ideal.

Cheers in advance...

FZS600 Fazer / R&G Heated Grip Spinning..
« on: 11 September 2015, 01:39:07 pm »
I fitted R&G heated grips on my fazer last year & while I'm happy with them I've now noticed that the left hand grip is spinning when the grip gets warm, it even spins on warm days when the grips are not switched on. I can only assume that the grip needs re-glueing so what do you guys recommend for the job..?

FZS600 Fazer / Spark Plug won't screw in properly..!?!
« on: 02 September 2015, 09:44:14 pm »
Decided to change my spark plugs the other day after an oil & filter change. All went well until i took the bike a run & it was running like a bag of bolts. On further inspection I discovered one of the spark plugs wasn't seated at all properly (the one 2nd from left as you sit on the bike) so I took it out & now I can't get it to seat, it goes in at a slight angle & only screws in partially. It seems to me that the threads are crossed but I cannot get it to line up & seat as it should…any advice or recommendations as to my next move would be appreciated…cheers

FZS600 Fazer / Different Wheels on my boxeye..
« on: 08 July 2015, 07:45:34 pm »
My '98 boxeye has a black front wheel & a chrome rear wheel, was like this when I got it. Can I assume this is not factory spec..? I'm guessing the front is original but the rear has been replaced at some time..?

FZS600 Fazer / Chain Vibration.?
« on: 17 June 2015, 01:48:27 pm »
After putting my rear wheel back on after a tyre repair I put the bike on its centre-stand to check all was moving freely. However when I put the bike into gear there was significant vibrating from the chain. My (much more bike savvy) mate had a look at it for me & couldn't figure out what the problem was. Everything seems buttoned up tight, the rear wheel is moving freely with no obstruction, front sprocket is also tight. I took the bike a very short run and it felt absolutely fine & normal. So am I reading into this too much or is there something wrong somewhere..? spoke to my local bike shop about it & they couldn't give me a definite answer…any help/advice much appreciated

I'm planning to do the headlight mod on my 1998 boxeye, so figured I may as well replace the headlight bulbs while I'm at it. So looking for any recommendations as to what to go for…or what to avoid.!

FZS600 Fazer / 1998 Fazer 600 Mirrors
« on: 18 January 2015, 03:15:48 am »
Hi all,

1st post so hopeful of some helpful replies  :D

I have a 1998 Fazer 600 and I'm considering replacement mirrors, as the current factory ones allow me to see nowt but my shoulders.!

I believe mirrors from a later model Fazer 600 will do the job as they have longer stems. Can anyone confirm or deny this..?

I've seen these on eBay & was wondering if they would bolt straight on:
