FZS600 Fazer / Fzs1000 rear Caliper
« on: 30 September 2019, 11:03:27 pm »
Managed to get my hands on a fzs1000 rear Caliper for £40!!! Delighted with that outcome. it Has arrived today doesn’t look in too bad of shape but I want to strip them down and change all the seals. My question is how do I remove the pistons on these do I need to buy a blue spot tool also is that the same for the front as I will work on them too? Just refurbed my rear 600 Caliper if anyone is interested just needs new seals and bleed nipples.

FZS600 Fazer / Rear LED light bar issue
« on: 24 August 2019, 02:23:03 pm »
Hoping for someone’s help. I have an Integrated LED light bar with indicators. The light works fine when the bike is on tick over what seems to be the issue is after a ride the light bar seems to malfunction (flashes non stop) until I turn off the bike and restart. On my Koso dash I have a  volt meter which reads when riding 14.2 V is this too high? Also if I take the rpm up to around 10k+ the Koso Rev gauge also plays up until I restart the bike. So my question is should the bike when riding generate 14.2v and or is my regulator rectifier faulty. To confirm the bike is full LED conversion and a LED indicator relay installed to eradicate the fast pulse.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

FZS600 Fazer / Heavy clutch
« on: 14 July 2019, 03:35:37 pm »
Hi all hoping for some info please since owning the bike it seems to have a very heavy clutch, so today I have replaced the friction plates and pressure plate springs for OEM also over the winter i converted the bike to a cafe racer so all cables are new and oiled. Whilst replacing the friction plates i did notice the steel plates are blueing so do need replacing however would this cause a heavy clutch??

Cheers

FZS600 Fazer / TPS Adjustment with aftermarket clocks
« on: 17 June 2019, 10:41:26 am »
Hi All,

I am currently rebuilding my carbs and have been looking at the "carb balance sequence" my concern is the TPS adjustment as I have fitted Koso DB-02r dials; has anyone performed this with aftermarket dials will they show the RPM feedback original clocks will show (0,5,10K)? if not is there another way I can adjust and record the feedback or should I leave the sensor well alone?

Cheers

FZS600 Fazer / Engine is out; suggest servicing recommendations
« on: 20 December 2018, 04:35:00 pm »
Hi all,

I am after some advice. Engine is out as I am working on the cafe racer conversion, would i am after would anyone suggest is there any works I could be doing to the engine whilst it’s out of the frame to ensure longevity and good health of the unit? She has 45,000 on the clock but only came into my hands late summer so I am unsure on its service history or check history ie valve clearance etc. Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated cheers

Introduction / Hi all
« on: 29 August 2018, 10:11:55 am »
Hi everybody,

I am delighted to join the Fazer team I have purchased a FZS 600 99 she has been semi converted to Cafe Racer however I will be working on her over the winter to mould to how I would ideally like. I am brand new to the riding scene and have to say so far the help and information I have received from various people has been fantastic and a steep learning curve to expand my limited motorcycle knowledge.

So my first issue would anybody have or know a link for a colour version of the 99 Fazer wiring diagram I do have a copy of the black and white version just struggling to find a colour thank you all.  :)
