Mines the same. Going to have it welded and repainted next week. Really tricky to get onto stand, it kinda twists as it takes the weight of the bike!

Hi All

Can I pick your brains again please?

I'm looking to replace my clutch lever as the reach is just a bit to long for my shortish fingers and the clutch bites when the lever is right out. There doesn't seem to be an adjuster like there is on the brake leaver. Does anyone know the best lever to buy for a 2002 fox eye fzs 600. Can you by them individually or are they only sold in pairs? I've attached a pic of my current clutch lever if this helps.

Thanks

Too Right Fras, a good thread indeed!

I've learnt loads over the last few days and hopefully Marks seat will be just the job!

Thanks Ed :)

I see what you mean Fras. I've just been and had a look at mine and both my blobs are missing and the left hand peg is a little scrapped and that's in its standard form. So as you say, spririted riding when lowered may be a bit dodgy.  Maybe it will be best to go down the lower seat avenue. Well spotted....

Thanks for the Photos Mark, that does make quite a difference doesn't it when you sit on your lowered seat. Shall I message you my details so I can try your seat and we can do deal if all's ok?

Thanks, Ed :)

Juat had got underneath and had a measure darrsi and its 140mm, so that means that it's standard then!

Thanks Mark pics would be good if not to much trouble

Cheers Ed :)

Oooooh this is all getting very technical and i need to get in the garage and spend some time with the yellow beastie....

That inconvenient thing known as earning as a living has distracted me again from spending time with the bike this week so it  it's gonna be the weekend before I can see what's what.

Thanks for all your tips, advice and offers of help on this and I'll update at the weekend

Thanks for the offer of the seat trial Mark. How much lower do you think your low seat puts you nearer the ground?

Cheers Ed  :)

Hey Fras, sorry for the late reply, internets being playing up.

Thanks for searching them out, as you say, i'll measure mine tomorrow when I get home just to check that they're not the same size and then if not I'll message you my address.

And of course it will a pleasure to update the club with the results.

Thanks for that

Ed  :)

Thanks noggy i see what you mean, the bike looks small up against you. Don't worry, when your ready and you can for the dogbones, I appreciate it. Just let me know the damage and I'll sort it out with you, thanks.

I've seen a seat advertised for next to nowt Arfa so I think I'll get it an give it a go. Will let you know how it goes.

Thanks, Ed :)

Thanks Guys some good options and advice there.

Thanks for the offer of them wishbones noggy, let me know when you've found them and I'll send you postage, nice one! those pics would be good too if you don't mind

To be honest I'm only pottering about at the moment as a fairly new middle aged rider, just want to feel comfortable to feel confident. Don't want to change bike for a lower seat model as I think the Fazer is a great bike.

I'll have a look at those rubber bungs and seat re-shaping

Cheers all :)

Morning all

Being a bit of a shorty (5'7" on a good day) i feel that I need to lower my fzs600 2002 to get both feet flat on the floor and am looking at buying a lowering kit supplied by Lust Racing or something similar. I have been advised that my suspension is already on a low setting.

Has anyone had any experience of these kits and are they fairly easy to fit

Thanks, Ed  :)

Thanks for the welcome

I'll get some pictures up ASAP.

Has anyone on here had to change their brake and clutch levers? I find the originals a bit of a reach (fairly short fingers). Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Thanks

Morning All

New to the site (Does that make me foccer now?)

Past my test 6 months ago after not riding a bike for 25 years (125 when i was 17) and bought an FZS 600 2002. Great bike and loving it.

Great salute!!
