Finally got round to this.
I think the mt09/tracer/mt10 range is a successor to the fazers, obviously there are differences but it’s what I’ve moved onto and I wanna stay on the site.
I replaced my FZS 1000 with an Mt09 as it just sort of happened. I had my Fazer advertised on fb walked into a bike shop, sat on the mt and was sold on it. After pxing my fireblade 929 for the new bike, a buyer came thru for the Fazer.
The Mt09 is a lot lighter, very quick acceleration but obviously not as practical as the Fazer. A tracer would be more like on to be fair, but as they share the same engine and I’ll be using mine for touring and scratching, you know.

I think Kawasaki Versys is closer to the spiritual successor of the Fazer.

Honda 125.

Well your not wrong about the MT10, it is literally the replacement for the FZ1. The detuned R1 engine put into an upright 'comfortable' frame
I suppose the MT07 was kind of a replaced for the FZ6, they just went with the current market and replaced the small inline 4 with a parallel twin.
As for the MT09 I dont think that succeeded anything? I think again it was just a stab at catching part of a new market. Although I think the 07 and 09 are more 'budget' bikes where as the 10 is more premium
Either way I dont see why we couldnt have an 'other bikes' section as many people here have more than 1 bike or have sold their Fazers but still like to hang around for the knowledge (piss taking) and friendly banter (also piss taking) 🤪

I don't see why not. If I get some time to tinker I will have a look but it may be better for Aegis to do it.

Maybe but it’s not a Yamaha.

Of course. But to me it seems "closer" to fazer than the MT Yamaha models.
Neither of those is the Fazer, of course. One matches it by the make, the other by the "concept".

I've got a Versys 1000 and I reckon it does everything my old 03 Fazer 1000 did but a bit better. So it should, it's a 13 year newer bike :D
Cheers

Interesting, in whats way/s does the versys match or exceed the FZS...?
