Well may be it would have been better to pull over and let him go in front. Not very manly perhaps but its an approach that might lessen the time spent in Hospital during  a life time.

Pull over?? No. You cannot let the bullies win. Everyone has to learn how to share the road, giving respect to all those on it.

Interesting, where did you find that?

A lockable, correctly fitted fuel filler cap is a requirement of the highways code and is necessary to pass a MOT test.If the police spot a vehicle without a fuel cap, or with a damaged fuel cap, this would constitute driving a vehicle in a dangerous condition, which would incur a three points penalty on their license and a fine of up to £5k for LGVs. If the perpetrator committed the offence within 3 years of a previous conviction for the same offence they would be banned from driving for six months.Any evidence that you have of drivers breaking these rules should be reported to the police.

600 handles really well, and is way more confidence inspiring than the Fazer I found.

The brakes do pale in comparison though. The Fazer, I think, will be unmatched on brakes for a while.

The Fazer was nearly always broken, and as I am not very handy, lack a garage/sheltered place to learn how to repair, it was costing me loads just to keep it running.

This... is... BLASPHEMY!!! ARRR!

 :)

Thanks for objective comparison. Enjoy the new bike, hope you'll have more luck with this one.

Many thanks. If I had a garage (seldom of us do in London) then I would just keep the Fazer, and fix it myself with the help of some mates. The Fazer is a wonderful bike, and I miss it when it worked well.

The new one is also pretty damn fine though. Maybe I'll get an FZ1 Fazer as me next bike . . . . . .

How the foc does diesel get out of the vehicles, and on to the road??

Usually by idiots "brimming" their tanks, often combined with caps that aren't secured properly (or put on at all) :(

I really do not understand how people can be that stupid. Is it a criminal offence?? It should be, if police stop someone, and check the cap and it's open, 3 points (or more) and a fine!!

This is faster, but you don't notice. Not sure if that's a good thing or not.

This is more comfortable, as easy to ride, better weather protection, better headlights, louder so people get out of your way and notice you more. . . .

This also has lots of nice little features such as little windows in the body work to check different fluid levels so you don't have to remove tanks and seats etc etc etc

The Fazer, has fantastic front brakes, so I do miss that.

The Fazer also feels lighter than this, so is more confidence inspiring in adverse weather . . . .

They both have pretty similar MPG. I filled the tank up, have done 80miles and the needle has only just moved off the top, and that is with thrashing the engine a lot.

What made you decide to downgrade?  :b
:rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin

Heh Heh.

Well, it was that godforsaken stutter. It had spent 3 weeks in the garage with the mechanics scratching their heads as to what was wrong, and although it got sorted, I felt whilst riding it to the dealer today, that stutter starting to reappear.

So I thought either keep the Fazer as a model and cycle everywhere, or get something else.

are you sure he got right bike???.....fuel injector, valve ?.... :rolleyes

I am sure he did, it is probably me just foccin it up. Eitherway, it feels nice and tight now. :-) I may keep it as I was saying . . .

FZS600 Fazer / Re: stuttering fzs 600
« on: 08 June 2012, 10:34:18 am »
Got Fazer back and feels really tight and sexy. :-) According to the mechanic it was the fuel injectors/valve thingy that needed clearing (I actually totally forgot on the ride back as I was having too much fun) Eitherway, it was something that the mechanic says he hasn't done in 25 years  . . . . .

I remain a little apprehensive cos I have eroded trust, however, if the two bikes I test tomorrow don't match up, or I don't get offered more than £1300 part ex, then I will probably be keeping it . . . . .  :D

I bought a Drift x170 for about £80, as it isn't HD.

It attaches to my lid with a sticky bit that it comes with, however, I have also neatly used gorilla tape to add to the stickiness, as I didn't trust it. It has stayed on pretty well in all weathers and I have been over the ton and it has stayed on fine . . . . . .

I record in the highest quality possible (720) and it seems to use 1gb for every 30mins of recording and I use a 16gb SD card. The internal memory is shite, you WILL need an SD card.

With regard to batteries, it takes 2 AA's and it is supposed to record about 4 hours in the energy saving mode before replacing.

I put rechargeable ones in. Is a bit fiddly taking them in and out.

Annoyingly, no external mic, is quite big, attachments ain't that strong.

Good bits:- Is cheap as it's discontinued, not bad quality although not HD, pretty tough, water resist so it won't break in the rain (unless you drop it in a very deep puddle)
