Parts compatability with 600
« on: 14 November 2015, 04:05:59 pm »
Hi everyone. Could someone let me know if the fuel tanks are the same on both bikes. Are they interchangable and also the body work plastics. Thanks.

yes they are. the only different I found was that the rear seat fairing for the 600 has holes for the pillion grab handles and the 400 doesnt

Thanks for that. Should have asked this as well but are the clocks a straight swap with the 600 to give mph reading or is there some other stuff to do as well.

The tanks may be the same but the 400 has a vacuum tap under the tank whereas I think the 600 has an off on fuel tap. I think it should still work but you might want to swap over the vacuum tap. I could be wrong though I haven't seen a 600 tank. The clocks I'm not sure about but I'd be surprised if it was a straight swap

I thought most parts, apart from the obvious where the same. I have dropped an entire 600 clutch basket into a 400 and it fitted. The 400 clutch is pathetic!
