FZS600 Fazer / Fork damper removal tool

Hi guys
Tried the tapered broom handle trick,with no results
Anyone used a damper rod removal tool
And any idea what sort of one would be suitable

gave up trying to clear them,must be really badly corroded inside
got some genuine jets,from a company called motocarb
will fit and hopefully the problem is sorted

have tried all that,soaked in carb cleaner over nite.must be really badly blocked
can you see daylight through yours when clean
think i might have to renew mine.been in there 20 years

There are 2 coming from carbs . One on the left and one on the right,of the bank of 4 carbs.

will a set of forks from a 1998 fazer fit a 2000 model
the only difference i can see is the preload adjuster on the 2000 model

Actually got the old girl out on the road today, thoroughly enjoyed a good, if chilly towards the end, 60 mile run to actually enjoy the fruits of my hard work.

Loved it!

First picture is her when I bought her, second one as she looks today.

Still got things to do, mainly cosmetic and a service.

It is normal to have only one headlight on dipped beam
the other comes on high beam

And change the color to silver,they are the fastest ones

+ 2. To the sealey  one.ground the heads off and pushed the pins out.then flared the heads over.kept taking it off to check the progress.you only get one shot at it.so a little at a time.  Some people do it the old fashioned way,with a ball pein hammer
