At last picked up my FZ6 600 today

thats the sweet, but its not stopped raining since

never mind intend to use it everyday so lots of time to see how it performs. Last bike was the FZS 600 so keen to see the differences......

Got myself a 2008 FZ6 600 S2 which I pick up in a weeks time, had last year the FZS 600 so looking forward to my later model

Having to sell my FZS 600 2003 Silver with full service history receipts etc

FULL SERVICE HISTORY – all receipts and all original MoT certificates, together with the service booklet and the instruction manual. Two original keys available. Plenty of excellent features and superb condition for its age with the expected few scratches. Only 23000 miles on the clock – lots of new parts Brand new pads (£100), recent service at 20k. Recent Bridgestone tyres (£250), downpipes (£150), chain and sprockets (£60), Varta Battery (£50) replaced in 2012, bike starts first time

Guess what you guys were spot on

it had broken into pieces...... new one ordered and will be fitted on Thursday.

Just a small point which may be relevant for others, prior to my speedo stopping I had a very slight squeek from the front wheel which could only be heard when coasting. this may be a coincidence but might have been a tell tale sign that it was about to break?

Anyhow thanks for all your feedback

Thanks to all those who have passed on info/help etc..... unfortunately I have not been able to investigate it myself due to work commitments so its now with a local repairer.

Do appreciate feedback, I will report back with what was wrong hopefully later today to assist anyone else in the future. Its my main transport so missing it already

Can anyone give me an idea of any quick fault finding tips on how to diagnose why my speedo has stopped, speed and mileage/trip not working

Am ok with electrics/electronics just not sure exactly where to start

Any help much appreciated, thanks in advance

FZS600 Fazer / Silencer gasket ??

Which exhaust gasket do you guys prefer for the silencer to downpipes ?? I see there are 2 types, metal or graphite? are there any pros and cons for them?
