Rider down
« on: 16 November 2018, 10:56:03 am »
Got cut up this morning. Managed to avoid hitting the van but mounted the kerb and damaged the front wheel, the rear too but that's useable. Cant find a front ABS wheel anywhere, does anyone know if a wheel from something else will fit?

Thanx for that Frosties but the link is just for the search, none of the listings is for an abs front wheel or am I just being particularly dull today (wouldn't put it past me). Do you have a direct link to the one you were thinking of?

Shit Steve, are you OK?
No other damage hopefully.
Is the suspension all OK as you told me & Paul how you had it all upgraded when you got the bike?

Yeh, I'm fine and I'm sure the bike is OK apart from the wheel. Little bit of body work damage and the foot rest/gear lever /shift rod assembly but nothing major, got the gorilla glue on the job. I'll strip the forks and rear shock over the weekend and make sure though.

True, but the government pays to repair my body, I have to pay for the bike.
Just dropped the hammer on a brand new front wheel from the dealers 550 with bearings.
Bugger.

Yes and no.
The one in the boot is ABS but from a later model and the reluctor ring is different.
The others aren't ABS.
After spending the day not finding what I want I paid £550 for a new one. Got home and found and found a pair of gold ones with discs for £350, bloody typical.

Any chance they'll take it back minus handling charge ?

Won't have been shipped yet but to be honest I've bought a replacement rear off eBay and I'll get these two as well. Always good to have a spare set of wheels and tyres in the garage.

Further down the carriage way.
Police said even if they can identify the vehicle from my description all he has to say is that he saw me fall off on my own. There's no way to prove he was involved.
