I struggle due to a high instep, makes my foot feel wide but actually it isn't, have all my trouble around the toe box area of boots/trainees etc
try Bullson by Heine Gerricke, its their own brand and I got a pr and they fit great. can't comment on comfy for walking coz I ride to and from work so only ever on the bike
good luck

done 350 ish miles from Redruth in Cornwall back to Liverpool when I got the new bike, was layered up in civvy clothing (couldn't manage real bike kit.... long story) and had every type of weather bar fog. as soon as I hit Bodmin moor my legs were cold and it worked its way upwards all the way to my eyes!!
after many stops and cups of tea later, I managed to get home with the onset of hypothermia.....no joke!
if it wasn't for the heated grips I'd have been in the mire big time, wish I'd know about plastic/nitrile gloves then coz I'd have done a Blue Peter job and stuck them all together and made a T shirt outta them lol
in a perverse way I'm glad I did it but I learned that you need the right kit at all times otherwise you'll get caught out, best gear I bought was a windproof balaclava and an Aldi windproof shirt, I can't recommend windproof kit enough and have applied this to my cycling kit and civvy kit

General / IE 9
« on: 06 October 2011, 03:02:24 pm »
anyone using it?
I'm on IE 8 and I get updates everyday, sometimes a few times a day to update to IE 9. I don't know much about computers and I don't want a debate about firefox etc, just wondering is IE 9 better than IE 8  and will it change the way I browse (heard it doesn't save your favourites like IE 8 does...........any issues like this I'd like to know about before I potentially move over)
cheers

I got given some that I think maybe Howard Leight, they are very good and block out nearly all noise, great for the motorway, wouldn't ride without them

General / X box help needed
« on: 02 October 2011, 02:13:44 pm »
the lad put his X box on and its having none of it, there is a red ring around the yellow "on" button, before I start to google it and sit for hours trying to get to the bottom of it, has anyone encountered this before and if so can it be fixed or is the box f**ked?
cheers
