"I was camping at Donny for WSB, and was amazed at the lack of security. Was never challenged for the camp site wrist band or track entry tickets. "

Last time i camped at Donnington quite a few years ago a lot of people got their tents raided during the night and had wallets, bike keys and loads of other stuff stolen. It's pretty disgsting that Donningtton doesn't care enough to stop it happening again!

I've been wearing varifocals for years now. I just pop them on in the morning and that's it till bedtime. It took a few days to adjust when I first got them but now I never think about it.

Cheers

A few years ago, maybe 10 or 15, I was passing a local bke shop and saw it had 'closing', 'last day' type notices in the window. I got off to have a look and saw my mates bike which they were selling on commision was still in there. I rang him and found he had't beeen told they were closing so he came over and got his bike back before they did.

I was chatting to our local pharmacist yesterday. He was saying they because we've already had Covid virus like Sars they didn't need to start from scratch, it was a development of what they already had. Also it was funded properly.

Wealthy countries are buying up all the vaccines. Covid will continue to thrive in the '3rd World'.

I've done nothing on a bike, 3 1/2 weeks ago I had a knee replacement op. The surgeon said I couldn't drive for 6 weeks, 15 days and counting! I did check I'd be OK then for weight bearing etc on the bike. I'll be going out on a VFR first as it's lighter.i

I still have a couple of old VFR750's which are more sports bike than I'll ever need on the road. I also need to remind myself than in the 30+ years since I owned my GPz I've got older and slower  :)

I was thinking about my old GPZ900 the other day. I'd love to ride one now to see how they'e stood the test of time?

I took a K75 out for a test ride when they first came out. The only test bike I ever took back before completing the route. It made me appreciate the CX500 I had at the time :)

A few years back my VFR left a good part of its fairing in France after massive hailstones settled and turned the road surface to ice. It's sat in the back of the garage since. RecentlyI decided to put it back on the road as quickly and cheaply as possible. I don't think it looks too bad:

I think most loud pipes are for the 'look at me' effect. What they don't realise is that most of those that look are thinking 'what a w*nker'

I'd second a Versys 1000, my Fazer was written off a couple of years ago and I've got a Versys now. It reminds me of the Fazer in many ways but it's better. So it should be as it's 13 years newer. My wife tells me the pillion seat is really good too.

Glad it's worked out. As an aside, I always scan any documents before sending them off just in case they get lost or they manage to lose any entitlement off the licence etc.

I've got a Versys 1000 and I reckon it does everything my old 03 Fazer 1000 did but a bit better. So it should, it's a 13 year newer bike  :D

That's very good YamFazFan, taking a few words out of a post so the context is lost. No wonder you spend so much time on that other thread :)

I've got a Triumph branded ventilated riding suit for summer because it was cheap. I ride 2 Hondas and a Kawasaki :)

I've had a Givi Maxia 52L for years and have used it on 4 different bikes including my old Fazer. It holds 2 helmets or loads of other stuff and I have had no trouble with it. I'm definitely getting my moneys worth.

Comfortable and practicable, or even going fast are secondary considerations on the ice cool bike.

In that case I really can't see the point of having one

It strikes me that to make a bike 'cool' you take a perfectly good machine and make it less comfortable, practical and often more ugly. Whoever decides these things won't be anyone who's opinion I care about (yes I know people don't care about my opinion either). I'm quite happy to be uncool  :)

I stayed with CN far too long due to my own laziness. Every year for the last few years they've got something wrong that I had to phone and get corrected. This year I rang them to tell them I'm changing to Bennetts, I got a reminder about auto renew 2 days later so I had to ring again. My old policy ends in 2 days and the new one starts. I'm still expecting them to take my money despite being told twice, I'll let you know.

Cheers

John
