My guess is that the lorry was signalling left, so she took a chance but didn't allow for it swinging wide to take the corner.

I don't think he had any intention of turning left, She jumped the light he swerved to avoid her and carried on the turn to try to keep away from her.
Your right he was going fast but if his light was green and he was going straight on probably not dangerously fast.

ive been in China - i dont actually think that there are any rules on the road. If there are, i didnt see any.
 
actually saw a car drive up the pavement for about 200 yards to skip the queue turning at a set of lights.
