Hi there,
Thought i'd introduce myself. My name is James and thanks to my lovely wife Heather, I am now the proud owner of a 98 Fazer600. It's the bike i've always wanted since I was 13. I'm 27 now so it's been a long time coming!
Basically I came home on Saturday to find a Black Fazer on the drive way which she had bought from a member of this forum, who has kept the bike in near perfect condition and only 22k miles on the clock. The FZS has it's MOT booked in for Friday and I really can't wait to take it for a ride, looks like my days of riding my trusty Suzuki GS500 are over, so that will be up for sale soon.
I am also restoring a 1987 Kawasaki GPZ900R, which so far has cost me £2000 pounds, but I hope to turn a few heads in the Summer.
Anyway good to meet you all.
James. :D

Hi James!
Welcome to the forum!
We've all heard so much about you it's like you're one of the family already!
Really glad you like the bike and if there are any questions you've got then everyone here is happy to help. A quick search will usually answer a lot of questions as a lot of things have been covered before. We all want a wife like yours, you must be awesome at something for her to buy you a bike! :lol
All the best for the MOT and take care,
Chris
P.S. get some pics up! :D

CARLSBERG DON'T DO WIVES....BUT IF THEY DID :D

Ha ha. Thanks for the friendly welcome. It looks like a great forum. Thanks to all of you for pointing Heather in the right direction. I was gob smacked that she had got me it, I just need to think of something for her now! Maybe a holiday or something.
I will post some pics asap maybe even a few of the GPZ too, if you have ever watched the film TopGun i'ts the bike Tom Cruise rides in the film. I have spent £900 quid just respraying the fairings and tank to match the colour scheme from the film!!
-
No problem, you're a focer now 8)
You will also need to familiarise yourself with the focer salute incase you see another one of our brethren on the road. :D

Nice one Chris. I'll practice the salute, I ususally ride to Squire's Motorcycle Cafe, near Leeds on a weekend (idealy in sunny weather so I might meet some local members there or recruit some new ones. Fazers are popular there.

Welcome to the forum ya lucky foccer ;)
When I fart, the boy's in the pub call me Top Gun, think it's more to do with 'take my breath away' tho.
Look up the springmeet thread in the events section, not far from Leeds and great fun.
Hope you enjoy a great bike :)

I must admit the Red FZS600 has always been a temptation but I'm more than happy with the Black colour. I've heard Black bikes are faster anyway lol. As for including Heather in a pic, she's hoping to get a pic taken this Sunday, it's supposed to be nice weather anyway.

Well, I may not know what I'm on about but at least I can use the quotes system properly, use apostrophes for "don't", "he's" and can spell "doesn't"... < note ellipsis only uses three full stops if we're being picky and there should be a space after your comma... Also the d of "don't", c of "chris" and n of "north" should be a capital... :b
Hahaha! :lol

I'm pretty sure I speak for all the foccers, especially red98, when I say that biker leathers or a dress or a skimpy skirt or a bikini or indeed no clothes is more than acceptable. haha! ;)

Excellent work, fair play & all round good sports 8)
This is exactly what the forum needs more of to aid solidarity.
Also shows yet another plus point for the mighty fazer-accommodates the female form quite nicely, you wouldnt get a lady posing so comfy on an r1 on a side stand.
Awesome!!!!

Having had the good fortune to meet the lovely and actually quite demure Heather and to sell her my bike I can confirm to all of you gentlemen that the photos hardly do her justice. Enjoy your bike James, you are indeed a lucky blighter in more than one sense !
PS I miss the bike a bit, which is probably why Im still lurking around on this forum ..
-
Nice to finally meet you. Well I can honestly tell you that the bike is doing great and well looked after. I can understand why you miss it as it is such a pleasure to ride. Hopefully Heather and I will go for a ride out in the sun tomorrow she lives being on it as much as I do. Ill post some nice pics too as we gather them.
