Nice  Kenny Robert’s skunk paint job. Last time I checked, Gilles still do quality rear sets for the Gen 1 Fazer/FZ1. How high have you jacked the rear.

Hope your op goes well for you, and hopefully resolves the problem. Just have to drink right handed over the holiday. I shouldn’t think that will be too much trouble for a man of your calibre. The only snag with having so much time off at Christmas and being rather vulnerable is……….them  (child alert, child alert). The very best of luck with that

Garmin 395 motorcycle sat nav, kit includes car mount, instructions, boxed. The sat nav has a fitting on the rear to allow a tether to be attached, this can easily be removed if not required. £150 posted.

I once coined the expression "Talking biker bollocks" for those conversations between riders which tend to be a long list of anecdotes about good rides they've had and idiots they've encountered on the roads!
And some talk a load more of it than others . When the bullshit starts flying, it’s time to go, or failing that, invent a few place names or events, and they’ll agree they’ve been there or attended the event. Priceless  .

Seems there’s always a tyre fitting horror story in most bikers experiences, usually in their top three.

I must admit that despite other people’s horror stories, my experiences have been relatively ok with main dealers, with only a gouged rear hub after a chain and sprocket change at a Triumph dealer springing to mind. The wheel was exchanged without any fuss I hasten to add. My less favourable experiences have all been with tyre fitting companies in the 90’s, and have since had tyres fitted to loose wheels ever since.

Thanks . A non Yamaha buddy ( Kawasaki) is always up for up for most of my jaunts, but I just put these rides out there in case anyone’s interested. This toy run sort of marks the end of another biking year, but The Dragon is only a few months away in Feb, which marks the beginning of another biking season. Got to keep riding as long as I can, as will be devastated when the day comes that, for whatever reason, I can’t .

I don’t know why I bother posting these events, as it’s only me that goes . Anyhow, as usual the meeting point is Tankerton Rd car park CT5 2AS at 12 noon, leaving at 1pm for the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother hospital at Margate. There’s usually an on-site burger van for drinks and food. If you don’t want to bring a toy, which is a chore, cash donations can be made to authorised collectors in the car park. I’m happy to lead a morning ride to the event via a cafe, starting near the old Oakdene cafe, close to M25 and M26, but it would be an early start to get to the ride start venue by approx 12:30.

Next stop was the Ace, which had a celebration to mark the 60th anniversary of the making of the film The Leather Boys, which featured Dudley Sutton and Rita Tushingham. The turnout of period cafe racers was, I thought, a bit disappointing, but maybe that scene is not as heavily supported as it was only 10 or so years ago. Besides that, the records played were right up my street, with a backdrop of the film being shown. A drag around the south and north circulars is torture at the best of times, but now with the added bonus of endless 20mph limits, let's just say I won't be in a rush to do that again. Got my 1994 Triumph Speed Triple through the ULEZ emission test today at Deptford. Doubt if they did anything as only took 10 minutes and didn’t see it tested, but all good just £175 lighter, although no pass no fee.

Took the Triumph to the ULEZ emissions test centre this morning in Deptford. They operate a no pass no fee regarding the test, so now being £175 lighter it is ULEZ compliant.
If the weather stays dry I might have a crawl round the North Circ. to the Ace on Sunday for “ton-up” day. Plenty of rock’n’roll and hopefully plenty of proper cafe racers.

Without a doubt for the home diyer, Halfords Pro range is more than good enough. Kamasa made some good tools when they were made in Japan, also Gedore(German I think) was my first Whitworth/AF socket set. Can’t help being impressed though, by huge roll cabs stacked full with Snap On tools, even if just to look at . I expect, like most things, that quality and longevity are not available and maybe not required anymore in a chuck away society. That’s no doubt what will happen to my stuff that’s for sure.
