Are there any aftermarket ones out there? I've found the £900 akraprovic titanium ones and i can dream but with a more realistic view I'm just after some more stainless ones. The standard ones are starting to pit and corrode up near the engine so rather than replace with originals I'm just trying to find an aftermarket solution. Anyone know of anything?

Had her booked in for some new tyres this morning and wouldn't ya know.... pissing down but not liking to let people down i went for it anyway. Had the rear spin up on me at 50mph on the way homr which made my rear twitch bit other than that it was smooth sailing. Not planning on scrubbing in new tyres in the rain again though

It was amazing. I was in the novice group as I've not been before but really, 90% were intermediate riders so it was very fast.
Mickey
I hate that. I've done a few novice days there and there's always 2 or 3 'intermediate' riders there just to brush their egos. Sometimes you'll even get a 'fast' rider in the novice group bit they tend to be kocked out if they drive too aggressively. Is a great track though. Glad it's my local 😋😋

When they were good, 021's were very good. But when they went off, they did so quickly and they could become quite unpleasant.
But who cares? They are now three generations out of date. You wont get the same mileage, grip or handling that any modern ST tyre will give so your final cost per mile, even at discounted rates, will not be much better. Even at £140 a set, 021's will give 5000 reasonable miles at 2.8 pence per mile. £240 will get you T30 evo's which are good for 8500 miles or more with better grip so costing you 2.83 pence a mile.
I will just wade in on the T30s and say that I've had them on my bike for only 3500 and and the rear is down to 1.6mm and the front has started squaring off so I would imagine it greatly depends on your riding style and use

Had her back on the dyno. Full custom map this time. Purring like a kitten now. Also booked her in for some new boots next week. Gonna try out the Pirellis this time 🤔

What happened to this thread, I thought it was about oil filters
Its still is... vaguely. But as with any internet based conversation there's a good dose of arguing and drama thrown in for good measure.... on that note I'm nearly out if popcorn...... as you were 😉😅

Not gonna lie the idea of an inline 4 (instead a crappy vtwin thing) in a chopper style bike does appeal to me but I'd want to make sure it was done professionally, not by some guy in his shed.

Cheers I never thought of T-cut 🤔 I looked on Google and everyone seemed to recommend s100 engine brightener. But that looks like it's more for painted engines. I'm not sure what the coating is on the fz1?
