Did mine at weekend after fitting aftermarket exhaust, you can get the cables off without removing the servo just use angled philips screwdriver to remove the cover over the cables, pull the outer cables back and slip the inners off the pulley

Hi all, I’ve fitted an aftermarket link pipe and it doesn’t have the bracket for the centre stand to stop against. It stops in the same position anyway but will it do any harm without the stop

Hi all, fitted a new link pipe to gen2 and it doesn’t have the bracket on it for the stand rubber to stop against. Will this matter as it stops at the right place anyway or will I need to make up a bracket for it?

Can’t get pictures to upload. If you have WhatsApp on your phone give your number and I’ll send them or email. The clutch cable is not genuine don’t know about exup as I took it off bike and put aftermarket one on cos it was slightly frayed at one end. The picture are on gumtree.

Hi all, recently changed to a gen2 so have some bits for sale. Fairing lowers with brackets/bolts no cracks or repairs but a few scratches and marks on lacquer £80 + post. Crash bungs £20 +post. New clutch cable and used exup cables £10 the pair +post and 2 workshop manuals one Haynes and one copy of Yamaha manual £12 each +post the Yamaha ones a bit heavy so post won’t be cheap for it. iPhone won’t let me upload photos for some reason but they are on gumtree you could see pics there or I could WhatsApp them to anyone interested.

Hi all, I’m trading in my gen one for a 2011 gen 2. Question is will the stubby end can from gen one fit the gen 2 if I got a new link pipe or would I be as well buying a new system?

Hi all, started the Fazer up last night after about 8 weeks in the shed and left it running for about 20 minutes then it cuts out. When I went to check it there was steam and water coming out from around the rubber overflow pipes behind the exhaust link pipe. I left it to cool down then tried to resart it but only getting a loud clicking from around the positive side of the battery any ideas?

Anyone know how to find paint code? There is a sticker on the frame near the front but does not mention colour code. Another sticker under the seat but nothing on it either. It's a 2004 sort of mid blue?

thanks, found the problem. the 7000 fault came up again this morning so took the cover off to check valve working ok and found one of the new cable liners had slid down the inner cable and melted itself round the pulley. back to normal now thanks again for your reply.

any ideas what its likely to be? runs fine up to approx 6000 then just starts to misfire, let throttle off slightly and it goes fine. sometimes runs fine but theres no telling when its going to do it. replaced exup cables, cleaned and lubed valve about 2000 miles ago after 7000 message on tacho.
