"Bom dia" - Good morning
"Boa tarde" - Good afternoon
"Boa noite" - Good evening
"Como está?" - How are you?
"Obrigado" - Thanks/Thank you

And so forth...

Your mixing it.

"Boa" is Portuguese but "noche" is Spanish. The correct way would be "Boa noite"

I should probably star charging for the lessons  :lol

She can take it, and doesn't complain :D
She didn't even want any oil to drink :rollin

Nearly as packed as mine! Get a trailer!  :lol :lol

Dump that crap! Go light! Are you gonna drag all that stuff around all your life? Listen to De Niro in "Heat", and be ready to drop everything in an instant! Posessions = chains!  :lol
All my kit for a week's camping now fits in one 60 litre tailpack with room to spare, a couple more t-shirts and it's 2 week's worth.  ;)

I guess I wont be doing any bike travelling any time soon, unless I get a sidecar :rolleyes . But I guess your right, bike gear, some jeans, beach shorts, and some t-shirts, and thats it :b

Well, not sure if this is the correct place for it or not, but here goes.

Some of my photos from my last trip to Spain (Portugal-Spain-Portugal). 13 days and about 2500 miles. The bike held up better then Us ;)

Now that is a well loaded up bike. How did you find the soft panniers , I am only used to hard case types. I have a set of oxford soft ones but not toured with them yet.
Some fantastic scenery there, I travelled down through  France and Spain in April this year from NW England to the Costa Blanca North. I enjoyed it numb bum an all
Lew

The soft panniers (saddlebags), are from GIVI. They are from around 1998 I think, but you can find new ones here. The numb bum part I got a lot of. Those were some incredible vacation/trip, and quite cheap also. I was amazed how "little" money we spent.

A well loaded Mule there man, i am sure it was all hers !!

Well, almost, but has it always happens, there was clothes that none of Us used in this trip. We always overpack   :\

Hola  or whatever you say in Portugese

We are so jealous of you and where you live and ride

It's Olá, Hola is in Spain.

Well, it wouldn't be fare to have a crappy economy and bad weather, right? :lol  But you are right, about 50 rain days a year (average), no snow (where I live), not that cold in the winter, although some times it gets below 0ºC, but we can ride all year long.

Hi , and welcome to the foc-ers! Your a lucky biker living in the sun I can tell you! Sounds like an outstanding tour you did, now lets see see pictures of your bike, and that super adventure!

Some picks of the bike in another tread I created.

Hi all

Just joined this forum yesterday. Came across it by chance, when looking for front suspension solutions for my Fazer.
My name is Daniel, 35, I'm from Portugal, and my Fazer has been part of the "family" since 2011. I did a longish run in it, in the spring of 2011, about 2500miles, with my wife for 13 days. Started in Portugal (near Lisbon) strait to Marbella. After that we started cruising the cost to Barcelona. After that, strait to Pamplona and then to the north. Really beautiful scenery. We cruised the  north cost, and then back to Portugal. It was a memorable ride :) . Anyway, my bike history started with a 50cc Yamaha, in Portugal called DT 50 LC. Staid with my for four years. After that XTZ 750 SUper Ténéré came along, then a Honda Hornet (CB600F), after that a Honda CBR 600RR, after that a Suzuki SV 1000N. Sold that bike and was without a ride for about 2 years until I could any more and got a Fazer. That's about it.

Cheers,

Hi all

I've been looking at this topic, and I "have" to change my forks. My left side fork is not that good, and after replacing the seal just 1 month ago, it is already leaking again. The outer tube has got some deepish gauges and I thinks that is why she is leaking. Anyway, I can only find the earlier R6 forks, 5EB in Portugal, and have eared about the spring rate and the possibility of bottoming out and hitting the fender or radiator. From out I found out the spring rate of the 5EB is about 0.76KG/mm, and the Fazer ones are 0.83kg/mm to 1.2kg/mm. Will changing the springs from the Fazer forks to the R6 forks bring any improvements? Has anyone tried it?

Regards,

Daniel Mota
