Its not easy to upload pictures. Once you upload a picture to the media library, you get a code for each picture something like "smg id=439" but with square brackets instead of quotation marks. If you put the code (including the square brackets) into your post you will see the picture in the final version like so

Have you uploaded the pictures to the media library on the forum or are you trying to insert them directly into a post?
You need to provide a link to the picture (see the link I provided above) as you cannot put a picture directly into a post

Have a read of this. The same applies to all devices. You need to upload the picture first

It's purely speculation, but I just wondered if there would be an issue with using the footage as evidence if it was gathered without the other persons consent when they are a joint owner/tenant.

How many care home providers or carers would be walking the streets now if it weren't for hidden cameras installed by worried relatives?

« on: 14 September 2018, 03:55:03 PM »
Several years ago, my bike insurer at the time would not recognise my garage as a garage as it has a window!!!

FFS, the window is (on the outside) about 5ft off the ground and overlooks my back garden and cannot be seen from the road. Their view was that someone could look in and see my bike then lift it out the window. Muppets

As for tools etc, I wouldn't like to guess how much mine are worth. 30+ years of accumulated stuff adds up if you need to replace it. There is no way I could give you a list though without giving myself a serious migrane.

A set of short reach and a set of long reach 1/4" AF Snap-on sockets from my apprentice days cost me over £200 then. Looking on the snap-on website just now they don't appear to have changed much in price.

As for all the other stuff, power tools alone will probably cost £1000 to replace. Luckily I don't go for expensive ones.

It's all about giving and taking information. Yes in the case you outline indication is useful, perhaps vital information. When there's nobody else around or within striking distance of an overtake it's unnecessary.

I agree with that. The problem is, for new drivers, its black and white. They get  in to a van having passed their car test and treat it exactly the same. They are not taught to drive differently or even the fact that if they do have to drive a van things like speed limits are lower.

- indicating right to pass parked vehicles - oh really you're going to pull out? I thought you'd plough into the back of that parked car... (similarly indicating right to join a main road at the end of a slip road - wasted information, nobody ever ploughs into the nearside verge instead of joining the main road.)

I have to object to this one. My youngest son recently passed his driving test and follows the instructors brief of not indicating. My view is that they are wrong.

The reason is simple. Imagine you are following a large van in a smaller car / bike and the van didn't indicate but you didn't see the parked car and tried to overtake just as he pulled out without indicating.

There was a '62 V12 Ferrari in one of the races and I'm wincing every time it looks like coming close to a collision. Must be worth millions.

You are totally right of course, but i managed to catch it by chance and was in total awe of some of the cars being chucked about, rather than being a show car all the time.
I'm not a car person at all but know a bit of class when i see it, and the sounds coming out of them was such a privilege to hear.

Maybe. I thought the last ones were unpainted stainless but may be wrong. Given the last ones are over 15 years old now it is unlikely to be original.

They could be the original pipes. They are not Delkevic.

TBH, all downpipes will fit. They are all designed to replace the original downpipes using the standard can.

Wankers that think an amber light means make an emergency stop!!
By the time I'd performed an emergency swerve and come to a stop my front tire was in line with his rear wheel 😳😳
I was following a little closer than I should of been but he managed to come to complete stop from 30mph just in one of the cycle areas!
I failed my first driving test for going through an amber light. There was someone very close behind me and I took the decision to continue rather than stop quickly as I didn't fancy explaining to my dad why his brand new car had been remodelled at the back end. By the time the examiner turned around in his seat to look, the car behind had stopped at the line.

The FZS400 has no pump.
