Drained 7 month old fuel and got her running again! Always a good thing to do inbetween seasons out of the country, so it's easier to do after the following season! MOT tomorrow, and the horn doesn't work. Hmmmm...

I got the MOT!

Anyway, looks good Hawko, update your bike thread with the progress, mines naked, but I'd love to see what you do with the rear!

Not really what I've done today, but bike was serviced and new muffler fitted by my local mechanic. I feel better knowing my bike gets the once over from a professional every now and again. :)

Mounted PDM60 power distribution module. http://pdm60.com/

I have used the headlight fuse cable to get positive voltage for ignition trigger signal wire of PDM60. Glued PDM60 to the back of the fender under the seat storage place with 3M patch. Now I have fuseless power suplied for heated clothes, sat nav and 2 cameras. Mounted permanently at the back on the grab rail my cheap sj4000 clone. I bought cheap Firefly 6S 4k camera for £60 Black Friday deal, when it arrives will mount it permanently in the front under the fairing. Black box video project almost done  :)

Moaned to myself at how TERRIBLE the standard lights are at night in the rain, gave it a thrashing up the a14, booked it for bodywork repairs...

Fitted heated grips and finally got round to wiring the sat-nav off a switched live so no more flat battery for me when I leave the Garmin in the mount!

Refitted the freshly painted downpipes, freshly painted horn, hopefully stopped it 'marking it's spot' and put her up for sale!

Wait till you hear the improved induction roar  :)

The bike was accelerating faster with less throttle with my old battered OEM filter. And the sound was louder with the old one, go figure?

Not sure what it is but I am really tempted to get back the old filter  :rolleyes

Is it possible the new filter just filters better?

Started the Fazer up today for the first time since about October last year after a failed attempt last week. It was an inconvenience for it to say the least but after a couple minutes it was running sweet as ever.

Has anyone had any experience with these downpipes? Tempted to get a set to go with the end can I put on last year, will they improve anything other than looks....acceleration, sound etc...?

I got two set off them, both out of alignment the second set worse than the first and sent them back, I really think their jig is misaligned and the manager had the cheek to tell me I did not know how to fit a set of down pipes.
The left 2 would fit perfectly but right two would not line up properly. With all four lined up the collector was catching on the centre stand and would not line up the the mounting hole on the frame.
The girl on the reception desk actually emailed me apologising for their actions and I told her she had my deepest sympathy for having to work with an idiot of a manager who was not prepared to listen to a customer even though I had sent him good quality photographs of the problem.
Finally got hold of the so called manager on the phone and told him what I thought of him and his customer service after being refunded minus the cost of returning the pipes.  :grumble He hung up  :lol
I bought a set from Motad, no problem fitting them.
