Have a look at a website called Gearing Commander, you'll get all the information you need from there.

Anybody on here used to own the blue fazer 1000 for sale in Owen Cherrell in Grimsby ? Sold my thou last year (2005 beauty but it was red and black, just didn't like the colour scheme ) and toying with the idea of another one but it's a bit too far to pop down for a look (I live in Durham ) without knowing more. Long shot but you never know

FZ6 / Fazer / Re: New FZ6 rider (but long time FZS600 rider)
« on: 18 November 2018, 08:12:23 pm »
Ive spent a fair few hours since I sold my second bike looking to fill the space in garage. id like something sporty but not an R6/GXSR6 etc due to the riding position, i want to be comfortable. It would also have to be decent on a trackday. The more modern Fazer type 600s all appear to be down on power, and heavier. Something older may suit, but again dont have the performance of the FZ6 S2. Serious thought was given to both the boxeye and foxeye fazers, but the boxeye now looks dated and one could get a more modern ER6F for the same cash. So ive still a space. Just gotta keep looking
Have a look at a Gsr 750, not too bad.

Be real interested to know how you compare the 2: sold my 1000 last year (mistake) and my Foxeye this year (starting to think this was a mistake as well, will I ever learn? ) and bought a Gsr750, but I keep looking at late S2 600s. On the plus side I have a Fjr 1300 which was worth every penny so not all bad. I miss the practically of my 600.

FZS600 Fazer / Re: From FZS600 to VFR800 instead of FZS1000?
« on: 18 August 2018, 09:05:23 am »
Just to throw a spanner in the works, if you want a 'grown up' Fazer 600 buy a CBF 1000. I've a 600 Foxeye, have had a 1000 (which I regret selling, a late model beauty) at the same time but the CBF (borrowed from a mate) was more like my 600 than the 1000 was. The thou is immensely fast between 60 and 110. Wish I'd kept mine, have I said that often enough ? :) .

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Re: Alternatives to the fzs1000?
« on: 28 May 2018, 09:28:05 am »
Cbf1000, more like a grown up Fzs600 than any other bike I've ridden, (I owned a Fzs 1000 at the same time as my 600 so have done direct comparison).
Kawasaki Z1000SX about the closet I've ridden to the 1000, very nearly bought one(that good) but bought a new model crossrunner instead (flawed and no longer in the garage).

FZS600 Fazer / Re: What would you replace your FZS600 with?
« on: 13 May 2018, 03:40:22 pm »
My mate has a CBF1000 and it's more like a bigger, grown up FZS600 than my FZS1000 was. I had both at the same time.

« on: 06 February 2018, 09:25:48 pm »
Rode my mates CBF1000 and it was just like my FZS Foxeye but more grown up, much more like the 600 than my Fazer 1000 (Gen 1) was. I'd have one.

What advert? I can only see a photo of a blue bike on a VERY steep hill.
If you look at the post directly below the one with the picture you will see the advert. I'll try to be a little more precise next time.

3 previous owners (I know 2 of them, lads from work). 20k miles, Mot until September, sailed through the last one, refurbished wheels. 2k miles ago it had new tyres, oil, filter, air filter, plugs, battery. Extras are fenda extenda, double bubble screen, tank protector, Givi rack, tribo seat cover, scottoiler , hugger, radiator guard, disc lock, smoked indicator lenses (originals supplied), newish Oxford Oximiser. The TPS works fine, the gearbox sprocket has not been welded on (horror stories about this kicking about). Bike is in 8/10 condition for its age (spent 10 years off road), all paperwork , both keys, bike in my name at my address. Haynes manual. Always garaged.
Bad points
Limited service history, paint coming off the down pipes, the frame on the front engine mount and a bit off the front of the engine, bit of a scratch on the tank near where your knee touches, odd plastic scratch here and there. Bit of clutch rattle but they all seem to have this.

£1300 fixed price, no offers please as it's not overpriced. Bike needs absolutely nothing doing to it. Easiest bike to ride I've owned and they are brilliant. If you like more info drop me a line and I'll answer any questions
