Is there not something about if you do it by PayPAL you have more protection both as a seller and buyer??
Yep, they are VERY good at looking after you, I can vouch for that, although it takes a few weeks but they are reliable.
Paypal do a worse job of something VISA have been doing for eons. Has everyone forgotten? I would always rather pay by VISA. If you buy, say, a £4000 motorcycle and pay only £1 by VISA, they will insure your entire purchase. Try getting Paypal to do that. Anyway, you have to enter in to a CONTRACT before either of them are valid

if you bid and no reserve and they wont sell it - they cant do that they have to sell it
This is the sort of misconception that seems to be the norm these days. Unfortunately... you can NOT make someone sell you something, regardless of their reasons. The item belongs to them and what happens to it is their call. Although this may be immoral, it is not illegal. When you list something on eBay, you are entering in to an AGREEMENT, NOT A CONTRACT. Those are two very different things and an agreement is not upheld by the law. Distance selling regulations only come in to play after the sale, whereupon the seller and buyer enter into a contract upon the exchange of the agreed selling price. That is how it is. Not always fair, but neither is life. I hope that helps mate.

Do you not have a friendly neighbour who would let you use his garage for a couple of days?
I am the proud owner of the only garage on the street.

I know the feeling...I'm in conversion mode as well. I added some floor anchors. You'll need a few with all those bikes
Had one in the floor for years and I have another one in a box to be fitted post painting.

Give me one, clear up some space.
Erm, no. Although they will be outside if you want to try and take one... By the way, I have firearms in the house

I'm with deadeye one that. Halfords torque wrenches are overpriced. I have 3 torque wrenches. 5-25NM, 19-120NM & 110-200NM. 2 the same brand (can't remember what) and one from Aldi for £16. All came calibrated, but I had them calibrated anyway at the same time. The Aldi one was nearly spot on. It was around £100 all in. I will have them calibrated again in a year or so.

Ok boys. I have a week and a bit off work and I plan to use it to finish my "project workshop". I have now finished all of the structural work and the building is solid. The lighting is now up and running and I have everything I need to get the job finished. But I have a problem...I currently have 5, read five, motorcycles in there . I KNOW I HAVE A PROBLEM, but that is not the one I need advice with. I am going to have to take them outside to paint the inside of the garage (walls, floor and ceiling - at least 2 coats each, probably 4 days). I have several security devices and have just bought a couple of new chains and padlocks, so I intend to chain all the bikes together, which should make it quite difficult for a thief (3 of the 5 bikes are alarmed too). My concern is really for my other stuff. 29er Mountain Bike (cost £1000), 2 other bikes, a triple stacker tool chest full of quality tools, power tools, helmets, leathers, boots, 2 sets of golf clubs... You get the idea. All my stuff.I can park my car in a way that the the fence would need to be removed for anyone to get a bike out. But the other stuff could just be lifted over. I can bring some of it inside (maybe, but there is a woman in here and the smell of petrol and the fear of spiders could be an issue). I have thought about chaining the missus outside and bringing everything inside, but that's probably not going to be good for my long term health. I have a big tarpaulin and a pop up gazebo, but I recon they might attract attention rather that hide the stuff. I can put the stuff back inside when I am doing the walls and ceiling, but when the floor gets painted the stuff has to stay outside for a few days. What do you guys think I should do? What would you do?

I sold a zx6r 2001 a few years ago to a polish guy for £1800 and he said in Poland the same bike would cost him £3000 so he was taking it back to Poland with him. No surprise all these bikes end up in Eastern European countries if that's true about the prices. Somebody's making £1000 profit per bike to take a van load over.
Yeah, a £1000 profit... IF you pay anything to begin with!!!

It's about time someone grew a pair and stood up to these scumf**ks.
This planet needs to eradicated of these extremist psychopaths.
Fed up hearing these hemp wearing flag burners banging on about human rights pish. When you behave like an animal, you waiver your human rights as far as I'm concerned. Maybe if the hippies were getting shot at or set on fire they also would like to see ISIS being wiped out.

Any garage that pays V.A.T can service your motorcycle under normal warranty conditions.

Be careful when starting big v twins! You need to make sure you give a firm press on the starter and don't take your finger off until it fires. If you only make a half hearted atttempt then take finger off and try again you can knacker the sprag clutch(Expensive) I would also fit a higher rated battery (Motobatt) To ensure a quicker turn over when starting. Welcome to the world of Italian motorcycling!
Yeah, I think I focced the sprag clutch . No one told me before, so I was ignorant. I know now, but I believe I will have to replace the part. I will call Jim Allan tomorrow to see what I need. I read in PB magazine if the engine is making a loud clattering noise to the left hand side, the sprag is goosed. It sounds like a washing machine with some spanners and half bricks in it. Oh, and I focced the starter relay too. The joys of Italian motorcycling indeed. Its costing me a fortune and I have not even had it out the garage.

The problem in these "deprived" areas is fundamentally a social and educational one and a typical government answer is to throw money at it and hope it goes away. Already the nation has found a way to make a scam of it and it was only made public this morning. What a piece of nonsense

The Held has the double visor too. The fastener is not the double D (which I prefer to be honest), but a plastic slider. It is quick release with a gloved hand, which is goo. But I don't like the feeling of it against my jaw. I'll get used to it though. The pump system is cool mind you. I like that a lot. I nearly exploded my head the other night, pumping the hell out it to see how far it went. I stopped before it did. Then I could not find the release. That would have been embarrassing. The wife coming home and I'm passed out on the floor with little more than my helmet and PJ bottoms on. At least there wasn't a bit of toilet paper welded on to my bellend .
