latest news is that Police will not prosecute the driver but just give advice. So it begs the question, like the zero tolerance approach to speeding or the 10% + 2, does it now mean that wherever you live, determines the legal outcome of crimes?
-
I did wonder when I saw the clip originally if plod would do the driver using he self incriminating evidence.
-
All that over the top fan rivalry bores the arse off me :z

How someone spitting ar a car can make headline news is beyond me. Pathetic

It's because it's a high profile ex professional footballer.
It would probably also make the headlines if it was anyone else that's just as well known in another field.
That's just how the media works.
Similar stuff to this goes on every week at matches up and down the country, carried out by those generally unknown to the public at large.
It's pathetic that what's just a game can generate such poor behaviour.

He could have been wearing a head cam

The highway code says:
''It’s illegal to hold a phone or sat nav while driving or riding a motorcycle. You must have hands-free access, such as:
a bluetooth headset
voice command
a dashboard holder or mat
a windscreen mount
a built-in sat nav''
But it says nothing about using cameras. Perhaps he was recording using a camera rather than a phone?
Anyway, Carragher is a highly paid TV presenter, exposed for the appalling lout he really is. Subsequently apologising only to try and save his job.
-
I was cycling in Devon a few years ago and some cretinous individual thought it would be a good idea to throw a large takeaway cup of fizzy pop out of their car window as they passed me. Think I would have preferred spit.
Back on topic, Carragher shouldn’t have reacted with those actions but the bloke filming him is a complete wanker. Filming whilst driving, if he doesn’t get done it’s an injustice.

Yep agree.
He's goading him to get a reaction, then starts bleating when it happens.
They're all as bad as each other.
It's the parallel the universe of football though, where standards of behaviour take a step back to the days of the neanderthal every weekend.

This story is in today's newspaper.
The report quotes that the driver who goaded Carragher claims on social media to "hate Scousers".

Watch the start of the video, you see the car's dash and front passenger foot well.
The only way you'd see that is if the driver is holding a mobile and is looking down at the screen to switch the camera on and is therefore NOT watching the road ahead!
-
I think most cameras have screens too.... Unlikely the police have enough evidence to charge.
Anyway the point is Carragher is an idiot for being goaded and responding. Never was the cleverest card in the pack!

He was a football player. Shouldn't expect anything more.
