My first solo photoshoot
« on: 10 October 2011, 10:07:06 pm »
Tomorrow I have my first solo photoshoot and I'm scared  :\  Not one to do things by halves, I chose 'snowqueen' as the theme and have hired a castle (Yes you read correctly) and it's all a bit full on!
This means a make up artist will spray a model blue/silver/white and apply dramatic sparkly make up, fake snow will be squirted and I have to take photos worthy of her portfolio.

I'm dreading it all going wrong, my stomach is in knots and I've charged all my gear, checked, double checked and now all I need is for everyone to keep their fingers crossed please!  ;)  I'm praying my small amount of skill and my ability to blag will get me through the day!!  :lol

The night before the shoot, the model called me and cancelled. I'd hired a castle, bought the dress, had it adjusted, employed a make up artist, hired an assistant. Disaster....so I sat and cried and then at 4.30am I drove to Richmond Park to take photos of the deer rutting instead. I'm inconsolable about my lovely shoot.

I have a pin up shoot on sunday. I may post some photos up of the ladies at that shoot.

The night before the shoot, the model called me and cancelled.

Sheesh, that's a bugger :(

I once had a shoot planned for my catalogue when I had a call from the model (clearly down with a serious cold!) saying that she'd still try to make it if I wanted!

Fortunately it wasn't desperate and it would be no loss to reschedule so I told her not to be so noble and call me when she was over the cold :)

Thanks folks. The pics from my Pin Up girl railway shoot are here (link below) If anyone can tell me what the old car is I'd be very grateful :)

Feel free to 'like' my photography page :) I've yet to edit all my deer pics, but they'll be on the same page when completed.
