FZ1 wobbly mirrors
« on: 03 May 2020, 02:45:15 pm »
Has anyone got a fix for this? The mirrors wobble at the point where they join the fairing but when I raise them they stiffen up again. I know there is some kind of mechanism inside but it's lost it's ability to hold the mirror legs/arms firm when folded back out.

Is there something I can do or is it new mirrors?

One idea I can suggest is to replace the rivet that holds the stem the base mount with a allen bolt and nylock nut. the idea is then you can vary the tension on the washer springs inside the mechanism.
