FZS600 Fazer / Replacement rear brake and gear levers.
« on: 24 August 2020, 11:23:51 pm »
Hi Foccers
can anyone tell me if I can get smarter looking (and lighter) rear brake and gear levers...?
My original ones are pretty scruffy and seem unnescessarily heavy compared with the alloy ones on modern bikes. :thumbup

FZS600 Fazer / Steering head bearings
« on: 27 February 2020, 05:19:09 pm »
Hi Foccers. My steering head bearings are pretty worn..was thinking of replacing them, (presumably the original ball bearing type) with a new set of roller bearings.
How difficult is this, without special tools...? I'm especially thinking of getting the lower bearing race correctly seated in the frame..? :eek Have seen a few instructional vids and this seems to be the hard bit. :) :D :rolleyes :lol

and while I'm at it, my forks are horribly rusty just below the fairing...cosmetic really but how difficult is it to replace the inner part of the fork...and wot bits should be replaced when one is doing it..?

UPDATE... :eek  Jaysus!..was just checking the price of new forks..WAAAY too much. Wot about getting forks rechromed, is that an option...?

Your Suggestions and How you can help / Ban on racist postings
« on: 12 June 2019, 11:38:53 pm »
I'm enjoying the site and the forums...but not the anti-muslim posts. Only a tiny percentage of Muslims support terrorism....and they would have the same proportion of rapists as we, or any other community, have.

FZS600 Fazer / Quick fix for awful Fazer lights
« on: 11 June 2019, 06:06:52 pm »
Fair focs to 74eldiablo for a splendid job on his STREETFAZER.... :D https://imgur.com/gallery/uCI4kcafor the less talented foccer, his idea of fixing two cheap Chinese spotlights to the upper rad trim bolt is a doozy... easy to do and transforms the bike at night, ie. u can actually see where ur going. His black ones look better than my silver ones, but i cuddent be arsed spraying them.

:evil 2pcs 125W U5 Motorcycle LED Headlight Driving Fog Spot Light Lamp with Switch :evil

Hi Foccing electrical experts

ERK,,,, just realised that the two wires to the switch are not (+) and (-),,,must check them again...tomoro,,,using battery earth :rolleyes

FZS600 Fazer / Wot do pilot jets do...Exactly..?
« on: 19 May 2019, 07:38:50 pm »
Hi
I know that the pilot jets let a small amount of air into the engine side of the intake...but why...?
and when the manual says the pilot screws should be two turns out , is that two full (360º) 0R two half (180º) turns...? :book
