Can't remember the size but you can buy O ring kits for not much money with several different sizes.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/419pc-O-RING-ORING-RUBBER-SEAL-PLUMBING-SET-KIT-/160551853082?pt=UK_DIY_Materials_Plumbing_MJ&hash=item2561a2dc1a
I just nicked a few from my mate's kit as mine didn't have the right ones.

I considered the forces. Caliper is behind fork leg getting forced against it when brakes applied. Still not entirely sure what I will go with. See how I feel when it's done.

4
Snap a bolt?  The thread in the caliper has stripped. Front.  General opinion is it's doable. Kit with 10 inserts is less than a tenner.  I'm in.

5
Beginning to wish I hadn't replaced my brake pads today.
Has anyone ever repaired the M10 hole in a brake caliper using a helicoil thread insert? I'm scared!  :'( I'm wondering if there's enough meat on the caliper to be drilling & tapping the bottom mount hole.

Okay thanks for all the replies folks. I'm guessing Yamaha pads would be expensive?
Another question, what's a good on line source for pads?

I've searched, honestly but couldn't find much on the subject.
Off to the Nurburgring again in August & front pads are a bit low. Just wanted general opinion regards all round use for best new pads to go for.
 Thanks in advance.

My guess is they were either bullied at school, have very small penises, are as yet still waiting to use said small penises for anything other than violent self manipulation, have very few or no friends, couldn't get in the actual police force or any combination of the afore mentioned.
Imagine their neighbours thoughts (who all know they work at the local BHS distribution depot in the gate house, opening the barrier or not, telling lorry drivers where they can & can't go, what to wear, when to get out of their cabs etc) watching them ride off in pretend police gear.
Absolutely zero respect from me if you hadn't guessed.  If I saw one of these pathetic loners whilst out on my bike I would have to express my opinion  using whichever means possible. Hand gestures & head shakes spring to mind but let's not rule out a defiant 2nd or 3rd gear wheelie past them as close as possible just to let them know they are fooling no one. I would then no doubt spend the rest of the day/evening hoping they weren't the actual police.   :'(

The O ring on my right fork cap sprung a leak last year which I didn't fix for ages. Caused a very pronounced wobble when giving the bike full throttle at high speeds. Cured as soon as I topped up the fork oil & fitted a new O ring.

I tried the blocks & the stem swap mod. Neither did much for me. Blocks just move mirrors forward not out enough to make a difference. Stem swap just showed my hands in mirrors instead of elbows.

Cheers Kev. Hope your journey home was better than the one down.

 Wheels both SOLD.

I've owned 2 Gen1's now. Ivanised or not they lift the front wheel in 1st gear if you keep throttle pinned through the revs. 2nd gear also if you lean back a bit.  Good eh? lol

You don't say what gear you're in when the front comes up? Don't say bike gear.  :rolleyes
If it happens in 3rd or above I want to know what else you've done to it!

6 months subscription to MCN & a lovely Motogp bikes through the years type book from girlfriend (amongst other things). Also got another book with what appears to be a pic of every bike ever made since the 1920's! Downstairs toilet getting slightly crowded now.  :lol

24
Clean it, WD40 it (all I got), SORN it, fit seat when sister brings it down from Tony Archer at Christmas.

Would love to have frame powder coated & paint engine while it's out but mean while, back in the real world I've got an FZ750 with a poorly engine & a house I'm totally ashamed of so it's not gonna happen.     :rolleyes

Well, I went to the 3 shop, tried one of their sims cards in my new phone which worked fine so had to pay a fiver for a replacement sim which is now working good as gold.  :\
