Update - Roger I have messaged you directly via email.

2

This is the reply I’ve sent you on eBay.

Roger - sorry but I cannot accept that the cartridge does not fit if the correct instructions are followed. As I said previously Andreani sent me the fitting details. I have a friend with a FZS600 who has recently fitted this cartridge so I am puzzled as to why it does not fit to be honest. If you have followed the fitting instructions then please explain how the cartridge does not fit and then I can assess it.

Thanks
Ned

Sorry not been on ebay for a while . Not sure how to respond to this as i bought them for Fzs600 and got confirmation from Andreani as they sent me instructions. So as far as i was aware and advised they fit ? I would have fit them to my bike had i kept .

I've a Andreani Cartridge Kit for front suspension - according to Andreani it should fit all 98-03 FZS 600 models. It's brand new, old stock, non original box. I have the fitting instructions on a PDF to email. It is not the current Andreani kit but is 'similar' to their model: 105/Y08. It has Andreani standard linear springs. if you need stronger springs then there are several suppliers/options for changing.

FZS600 Fazer / Re: New chain and sprocket?

Just to add support - It’s pretty much the same rule for bicycles as well -change cassette , chain and chainring at same time unless chain itself has been regularly replaced. So it’s best to do the lot - in future you can get away without having to repeat all this by replacing chain only well ahead of schedule.

FZS600 Fazer / Re: R6 rear shock on the FZS600

Thought I would give people a  :lol  and add to this topic. Got all the upgrade parts but not the spacer - quotes for this ranged from £87 - £165 for a basic bit of drilling an aluminium billet! So got a billet from evilbay (£4) used a hole saw to cut centre and axle grinder and file to reduce diameter and shape a lip to fit preload adjuster.
What a unsightly monster it is but .....works perfectly  :) :)

MM - did you get a spacer made up or acquired one from somewhere? I'm getting unfeasible quotes of £75 + from CNC places

Thanks MM.
Here’s a curiosity for anyone - would this R6 adapter negate the need for new dogbones:

No need for ULEZ, I go the other way out on A3 so 80% of commute is 'fake' Motorway. I was just thinking of an upgrade with maybe ABS, FI and whether it was worth it or not, also a bit of advance planning for two-up tour next year which I'm hesitant to do without ABS. Seems similarities btw FZS600 /FZ6 are quite close so might not be best upgrade, other than good prices!

Just started to drain coolant and it’s barely dribbling out , no gush as I’d expect. Does this suggest a blockage somewhere ?

You can’t assume Minford is impartial, as. Prof of Economics it is more than likely he has a philosophical angle , just like Keynes did and most others do. So his independence , and therefore information should be viewed in that light.. You might also question his analysis in relation to where his research funding comes  from - this is the BAT approach of giving researchers millions of pounds to ‘prove’ tobacco doesn’t cause cancer 🤣.
Never ever underestimate the Tory parties ability to connive, manipulate and cut deals to stay in power .
