extended length 140mm
wire thickness 3.8mm
outside diameter 26mm

the closest I can find on a spring manufacture website is

Just an update getting to the last of the parts
I am now open to silly cheaky cheap offers for whats left
the idea being you can buy cheap just in case you need them in the future. stick them in the garage and there not tying up loads of money,
or you maybe able to pass them on to some at a later date.
so whats left
mainly electrical stuff
coils... I DONT KNOW IF THESE ARE THE SAME AS AFAZER BUT IKNOW SOME PEOPLE HAVE HAD PROBS WITH FAZER ONES SO THESE MAY BE OF SOME USE
cdi
reg/rectifier
rear indicator
starter solenoid
SWITCH GEAR BOTH SIDES
clutch lever AND PERCH
rear wheel spindle
throttle cables
clutch cable
rear mudguard
hugger
swinging arm and linkages
rear light
some plastic trims
rear light bracket I think
and some other bits

try making me a cheeky offer for the lot

headers have gone, I don't know if they would have fitted,
personally I would get a set of stainless steel motad ones
motad some times see the on ebay for approx. 1/2 the normal retail price (that's what I did with my fazer)

will the rear wheel fit a 01 600 5dm  fazer?
Just so you know- it's exactly the same wheel!
If you're selling/buying it with the sprocket carrier and sprocket the cat has less teeth on the back (1 or 2)
It's hardly noticeable and can happily use it!
thanks
this is what we need knowledge of what parts are the same or bolt straight on.
helps when trawling ebay

rear indicators are identical to fazer
rear wheel spindle same as fazer

also measured swinging arm fazer and thundercat have same distance from centre of swinging arm pivot to centre of wheel spindle slot
I don't know if a thundercat one would fit a fazer or if there would be any benefit

minimum 4.2mm

will the rear wheel fit a 01 600 5dm  fazer?

I am pretty confident it will, the tyre is the same size
disc same size and same mounting holes
sprocket carrier looks identical with same mounting bolts
the rear wheel spindle and chain adjusters are the same
to me the wheel looks identical
heres my ebay listing

yes
no damage to lenses the black bits or the wires or connectors

to be honest they look a lot worse in the pictures than the do in real life

and where did you get exhaust hanger please. Nice !!!

That's a diy job mate, I had some 5mm aluminium plate lying around, cut the holes with hole saws...

Believe it or not I polished it first to a mirror shine but it looked odd on the bike so I roughed it back up and painted it :rolleyes

blacks the way to go I made something similar and polished it - it looked shite so I will have to get the paint out,

if you take a picture of the mounting I will compare it to mine, from what I can tell 1999-2003 are all the same

REAR INDICATORS OFF AN EARLY R1 BOLT STRAIGHT ON AND THE WIRING IS LONG ENOUGH I HAVE THEM FITTED TO MY FAZER,
CHECK OUT ONE OF MY EARLIER POSTS IF YOU CAN FIND IT
Help!!!

I've acquired a Givi Wingrack 2 (no indicators) with a fitting kit for my W reg 2000 FZS 600 - £75 off of Flea-Bay!

It fits perfectly with the exception of the rear indicators fouling the inside of the pannier mounts.

I found a thread that said the 1998 R1 rear indicators have the same mount as the FZS 600 but were about 2cm shorter and that they were going cheap on Busters.  I now can't find this for the life of me since the site move.

Found them, bought them and they're the same length...

Does anyone out there know of any rear indicators that I can fit that have the same mounting type but have a shorter stem?

Cheers

I put a trx 850 alloy one on mine, £10 off ebay and a straight swap. Matches the swingarm as well.
same here but mine has the trx caliper and hanger and hose as well all bolts straight with no mods

FZS600 Fazer / Re: How do you cope with glasses?
« on: 13 August 2013, 05:41:49 pm »
unfortunately my eyes cannot be lasered as wrong prescription, I have being wearing glasses since I was 3 and now I am 46, i still wear glasses the majority of the time, i have now been using contacts when on my bikes, i would recommend them i wish i had tried them years ago

« on: 12 August 2013, 10:14:35 pm »
that can be welded,
I did that to mine it lasted a while got through an mot and a winter
however in the end I got a motad set from ebay
look for seller motad1 every so often they will list stainless ones at about £140
I think most people on this form say these are about the best fit, I would say the finish is not 100% but the rough bits are normally out of site

22
I improved mine by changing fork oil to slightly heavier oil and then found some 12mm thick aluminium spacers on ebay to increase the preload
I put the spacers under the existing steel spacers so everything can be put back to standard if reqd,
this may not be the best solution but it is cheap and simple and reversible

For Sale & Wanted / Re: wanted fzs 600 overflow bottle top
« on: 12 August 2013, 08:59:09 pm »
I have a top if you want it
or you can have the complete bottle
pm me your address

make sure you have completely cleaned the exhaust port where the copper gaskets sit, I held my new copper gaskets in will a little exhaust paste,
a little bit of fiddling and the pipes lined up, the only issue I had was the where the exhaust went under the engine the centre stand fouled them when being raised and lowered, I ground a little bit (1-2 mm off the stand where it rubbed, job done

FZS600 Fazer / Re: Front preload
« on: 24 May 2013, 08:42:33 am »
my preload adjusters were very tight and needed a spanner, virtually ceased and I was concerned about damaging them, a little wd40 and they still need a spanner but move smoothly, a little resistance but no real force reqd. its a 2002 bike so I imagine the rain had got to them
