I have had three fazers, FZ 6 S1, FZ6 S2 ,FZ1 now on an MT09.
Loved all of them but the FZ6 S2 was a mistake , I had down sized from a Z1000SX , to be honest when you have had 1000cc bike you do miss the extra cc's so I got a nice FZ1 which I loved , but sadly the old knees are shot and the ride position was becoming unbearable. Nearly packed biking in until some one said try the MT07, I did but thought I wonder what the 09 is like, Love it a real fun bike.

My nephew has just been notified by a well known outdoors pursuits clothing manufacturer, that they have inadvertently used one of his photographs in an advert in a magazine.
He is I believe in talks with them and lawyers about how they inadvertently removed his Copy right protected stamp? on said photograph, could get interesting.

It would all depend on what you want out of a bike, the MT09 has bags of grunt and on really twisty roads it will live with anything once the suspension is sorted out. The MT10 is just an out and out hooligan machine.
I am biased but I would opt for the MT09 if it were me, there again I have had one for 2 years and love it. Just back from a tour SW France to N Wales two days ago , 3850kms in a week, bike never missed a beat, only down side is the 14ltr tank on the 09, when I come to trade I will go for the MT09 Tracer 18 litre tank.
There were 2 MT 09's and a Tracer mixed in with this lot last weekend and more than a few had a hard time keeping up on the twisties.

If the acetyline cylinder has been lying on it's side it will be knackered. Also I would remove the flame arresters if possible, strip them down and soak in vinegar. All threads and connections should be exammined for damage. There are also non retun valves in the torch tthese should be looked at. As said flex the hoses and if any sign of cracking on the outer rubber / covering replace. Finally if you are satisfied that all is in order, slowly open the O2 bottle and in a well ventilated area purge through the line upto and including the torch. When satisfied with that do either but preferably both shut the O2 valve on the bottle and torch and observe if there is any pressure drop, all so though it is a good idea to do a soapy water test around all connections. Repeat the same procedure for the acetyline.
UNDER NO circumstances be tempted touse any oil or grease based products on any threaded sections of the gas bottles or gas regulators.

Oh sad bastard that I am I did , I was never lucky with that girl. Only time I have ever broken a bone on a motor bike was with her. Triumph Bonnie her up front bent forward over the tank, me banging away, arse going like a fiddlers elbow, on the vingegar strokes and the fecking thing came off the centre stand, broke me fecking ankle.
