Just like to thank Chaz and the many others who have given feedback to my post, cheers lads. What a forum is all about.
Based on best prices I have found on the net toss up between the Maxxies or the Conti road attacks, bet I chicken out and go for PR2's as I have had these on my CBF 1000 and my Z1000SX

Wrong there is nothing in the Koran that says woman cannot drive , go on show us were it says it. I think the point being made is it is discrimination, but I do take your point is it worth the hassle.

There should be, we all know women can't drive, surely God knows this too?  :lol
I know, I'll never get to 'eaven... :evil

Okay I am sure this has been done to death.
I am coming across to England from Spain at the end of the month, sadly in the car. The price of tyres out here in Spain is extremely expensive , so while in the UK I was thinking might as well get some tyres to bring back out with.
What is the peoples choice, I have had PR2's on other bikes , my current Fazer is running Bridgestones BT 020, not keen on them truth be known. Never had PR2's on my other fazer I had anyone running PR2's. The PR3's look to be more rain suited.
been on e bay and some good deals on pairs anyone tried the Conti Road attacks £185 . front and back?

Oh dear, here we go again...

It takes less than 30 seconds to take a lid off and put it back on again. Is that minute *SO* important to you that you can't be polite enough to remove your helmet? Would you keep it on if you went into a shop? A bank? A Police station? Someone's house?

If it matters to you that much, get a flip-front.

Oh and if a woman is wearing a burkha it's incredibly unlikely that she would be driving a car in the first place because her faith would prevent her from doing so, only the men are allowed to drive...

Just ploughing through some old photos and came across this one. The weather was not as bad as it looks. We did have to leg it though as that is a snow storm rolling in.
This was the SW of France in April 2011 I think. It was taken in the Pyrennes just facing Axe le Therme, absolutely beautiful country side and the roads are fantastic even in this shot the roads were snow clear just had to watch out if there was water across a corner as ICE at times higher up the mountains, fun times.

it went downhill when it lost its identity to Ebbsfleet...Bring back Gravesend & Northfleet FC
Tilbury has to be the pits surely, used to ship in and out of there many years ago (merchant navy) we were never allowed ashore unless there were at least 4 of us, the locals always fancied themselves as hard men. I remember we had a kid got the crap kicked out of him one night coming out of a chip shop not far from the dock gates. There is a or was a pub just facing it. Next night 20 odd of us went back drifted into the pub in ones and twos , kid points out who turned him over, shall we say they would not have been bothering anyone else for a spell.
In those days we looked out for our own.

General / Re: Leathers
« on: 07 September 2013, 07:46:30 pm »
So went to Hein Gericke in Preston today to look at some leathers (boy was i in for a shock) not the price but the fitting sizes i normally wear a 36 inch waist clothing. Now i took a 36 and 38 inch set of RST pants to try on and to my amazement could,nt even fasten the zip up on the 38 never mind the 36 now would the HG ones be sized the same or is there a little difference.I have a chance of a 40 inch pair of HG trousers at a decent price which should fit if sizing is the same. Now the serious question have i turned into a real fat bastard :'(  or is leather clothing small sized.

I had the same thing but I think they are sized the European way, size 40'' silly fucker!! wish I was as fat as you. For me leathers is basically catch the cow, gut the fecker, remove the carcass stick zip on skin and that's it. So if you see a fat twat on a yellow FZ6 that looks like a Fresian cow give me a wave :rollin :rollin

Precious Picture
Nick sat in his attorney's office.
"Do you want the bad news first or the terrible news?" the lawyer said.
"Give me the bad news first."
"Your wife found a picture worth a half-million dollars."
"That's the bad news?" asked Nick shockingly. "I can't wait to hear the terrible news."
"The terrible news is that it's of you and your secretary."

Chinese Hurrymoon

A young Chinese couple get married.

She's a virgin. Truth be told, he is a virgin too, but she doesn't
 know that.
On their wedding night, she cowers naked under the sheets as her
husband undresses in the darkness. He climbs into bed next to her and
 tries to be reassuring.

"My darring," he whispers, "I know dis you firss time and you berry
frighten. I pomise you, I give you anyting you want, I do anyting
 juss
anyting you want. You juss ask.
Whatchu want?" he says, trying to sound experienced and worldly,
 which
 he hopes will impress her.

A thoughtful silence follows and he waits patiently and eagerly for
 her
 request.
She eventually shyly whispers back, "I want to try someting I have
heard about from other girls... Nummaa 69."
More thoughtful silence but this time from him. Eventually, in a
 puzzled tone he asks her..

 "You want... Garlic
  Chicken with corrifrowa?"

If your going into a hairpin bend at a speed and angle as to remove your chicken strips then surely your going to fast as you can't possible see what is around that corner and be in a position to stop if you need to      do if you haven't got strips on normal Road use surely this indicates a Dangerous rider
Not all hairpin bends are blind corners as a matter of fact were I am most are open view.

There were two Irishmen eating sandwiches in a pub and the landlord said: “You can’t eat your own food in here.” So they swapped sandwiches

Not being funny here but what is a chicken strip, is that the wee bits of rubber spikes that stick out near the edge of the tyre. Or is it the part of the tyre near the edge that has not come into contact with the road?? If so I am not as chicken as I thought.
Lew.  :eek
The Shiny part on the edge of the tyre which is not on the side wall.

Mine are an inch all around apart from the rear right hand side which is about  7mm.  I'm more confident turning right than left.  Dunno why.
Just curious here are you right handed or left handed, I am right handed but prefer left hand bends.
I also find this though on the continent , as you drive on the wrong side of the road from us Brits, going up hill on mountain roads I prefer left hand hairpin bends than right yet going down hill it is the other way around. I am used to ridding out here now so it is not a new thing for me.

The SX forum is growing and some good banter there, obviously it is relatively new. The CBF is good if not a bit stuffy, maybe something to do with the age group.

I wouldn't let the fact that smaller bikes are (usually) more nimble than the big thous put you off of them. They can still be made to handle pretty well, and are still great fun to ride. I've had mostly big bikes, partly because at 6' 2'' I'm too cramped on anything else, but also cos I started on big bikes and was always reluctant to let go of the power and torqueiness they deliver. And never mind the people who say you can't use that power on the road, it's useful to have when you need to lose that Merc that's stuck up your ass on the motorway, and having great big doses of mid range is always a lot of fun!
If your riding is always likely to be a bit "provincial" then maybe a 600 is all you'll ever need, but if you're regularly going to do big distances, that big engine makes for a much more relaxed ride, and they don't notice so much when you load up the luggage.

I'd like a 600 too, but if I can only have one, I'll stick with the thou!
Nick trust me if I could still physically still muscle a thou around on the roads around here I would have kept the SX, but there comes a time in life when common sense has to prevail, I am sadly at that place now. If I thought I could through my leg over a ZZR 1400 and live with it I would have one of those in my garage now.

Diesels and Lawnmowers (Bike racing n things) / Re: Marquez
« on: 04 September 2013, 04:31:55 pm »
Yea the last laps were good , but I have to be honest I find Circuit racing just one big yawn. I was brought up in Northern Ireland so it is road racing all the way for me, just a bloody shame it is a form of racing that takes no prisoners if things go wrong, which sadly they do to bloody often.
I have been to Oulton Park for BSB meets and Donnington Park for WSB and to be honest I thought the best racing of the day was the kids
on the Aprilla's 125 class. Just to see the young guns kicking , biting and scratching there way round(literally speaking )  was great.

Englishman, Irishman and a Scotsman are at a Christmas party and each had to bring something to do with Christmas. Englishman brought a bag of tinsel, Scotsman brought a bag of holly and the Irishman brought a pair of knickers. I asked, ‘What’s that got to do with Christmas?’ He said, ‘They’re Carol’s.’
Can I come back in yet? getting cold out here  ;)
