Got a deal on e bay but collected in person at Round &Black , Dartford, I was coming back to the UK for a week from Spain (in the car) so stopped off at Round&Black got matched pair Conti road Attacks £149.00, pleased with that will let you know how get on when fitted. Was very tempted to go for Maxxis but bottled it , maybe next time.

October is at the end of the hurricane season.
Try the Blau Varedero hotel in Cuba. Lovely (and relatively cheap) all inclusive holiday. I booked through Virgin Holidays when I went and did the Havana 2 day trip on the way home.
Officially, the Atlantic hurricane season is from June 1 to November 30, but as the Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory (AOML) notes: Sorry but worked in Hurricane alley for to many years at sea, if it is not a hurricane it is a tropical storm.

It'll soon be that time of year when damp and cold start to take their toll on these old broken bones of mine, so I'm making the most of the current mild temperatures. Sometimes wish I could do a Barry Sheene and head for warmer climes, but I would miss the UK. I've become more familiar with our little island than many over the years, what with exploring it both on foot and by bike, and when the sun does come out, you can't beat it.
You never know, you might get lucky and see the sun while you're here!

Just bare in mind you will still be in Hurricane season in October if you decide Dominican Republic. Cape Verde Islands ?? weather should be great, nice people. May I suggest the old Google route. October/November time Dubai could be worth a look??just starting to cool down a bit.

Checked tyre pressures, gave her a sip of oil, lubed chain. Will pop out after dinner to fuel up, then check camping kit is all packed, all ready for another stab at Wales tomorrow!
Oh, and booked for a new tyre to be fitted next Wednesday. Still rolling through summer! 
Enjoy and hope the weather holds fair. Back in the NW England next week sadly in the car. Spain is a great place to live BUT not the UK.

it might be an offence but it helped save my arse...
It is an offence to fail to notify the DVLA if the vehicles details have changed as in colour etc! I think it was North Wales police got done for the very same thing. I seem to remember someone got pinged by mobile speed camera which was parked up. Who ever it was thought they had seen this van at this place before. To cut a long story short they checked up the vans details and the van was White, he duely informed the DVLA that the van with the reg number xxxxx was now BLUE, justice or what. Lew

I had a parking fine when we parked at the The Leeds Armaments museum, 9 off us got done, think it was £80.00. Were we parked was signed but it was only pointed out to us after the tickets were issued. I think it was the same crowd MET. Most of us ignored it, I did. I received a letter threatening to take me to court and also they would apply for a CJO? I told them to take me to court and do what they wanted as I was still not paying. They threatened me again, I told them to do what they wanted to but I would still not pay. I went back to were we had parked and took a photograph of there sign and it was partly hidden. I sent them the photo and have heard nothing since.
That was two years ago.

Well went for my planned ride today with a mate, he was on his 900 Hornet. All going well but had a moment when white van man decided to ignore the stop sign and was practically on top of me, managed to swing round him thankfully nothing coming the other way. We convinced to stop and although I do not speak much Spanish I think he got the gist of the conversation . Apart from that 180kms of sun and fun. Lew

Got family out there but occasionally we've hired extra rooms for bigger get togethers. Is it near town or a drive away?
It is 10 minutes by car to Moraira town centre same again for Calpe town centre, nearest bar is ten minute walk but they do seem to pick and choose when they open. Is open everyday but seems to close when he feels like it. Lew

If anyone is looking for a B&B in the Moraira area of the Costa Blanca. I have a one bedroomed apartment attached to my villa. €175.00 per week. It can sleep up to 4 people in comfort, 1 double bed in bedroom and 2 double settee beds in the lounge. €2.50 extra each for breakfast if 4 staying. Apartment consists Lounge, Bedroom and bathroom.
There is a 8x4 mtr swimming pool right outside your door. Fans are supplied in warm weather, also central heating come the cooler months.
If biking/touring there are some fantastic roads around here and the scenery is amazing. I am quite happy to be your guide as I enjoy the rides myself

Hi all,
I'm new to fazers and new to this forum.
I have to say I'm very impressed with the bike a 2007 FZ1, after having so many different bikes from ducati race 998's to yamaha xt 600's.
The only problem I have had with the bike up to now is someone has changed the original indicators to led's and one has burned out (I hate modified stuff) and I need to get back to standard.
I'm planning on taking mine to Portugal in June when we emigrate and was wondering what kind of mileage I can consider stacking up? It has a power commander on and a boss can. I really dont want to be replacing her for a while.
Any help much appreciated

Mark have sent you a PM, But before you take the bike to Portugal checkout insurance costs and registration costs. I would imagine Portugal will be similar to Spain. I moved here in March and brought out my 2011 Kawasaki Z1000SX in April. It was going to cost €670.00 to insure and to put on Spanish Plates €1053.00. Unless you take the bike back to the UK once a year for an MOT. Also if and when you put it on Portugese plates you will have to have a Portugese version of an MOT, they will insist that you change the headlight unless the FZ1 can be altered to there side of the road. Just a few points to be considered. I ended up selling my SX in the end and bought a FZ6 S 2 N out here. Lew

Salt about leave it in the garage or if you must a really good wash down with a pressure washer , avoid the direct jet near the wheel bearings.
As said previous post a good corrosion inhibitor.

up at 04:30 for the 7:30 ferry from cairnryan to belfast headed south through portaferry to newcastle, had a bite to eat, down to newry, back north to dundrod and back to belfast for the 19:30 ferry back to cairnryan and home to bed about 23:30, 270 dry miles, a good day out.
Nice one, did you not fancy doing the NW200 circuit as well, the Cairnryan /Larne ferry I think is better as it gives you more time being the much shorter route. Were there many bikes about round Dundrod ? I love having a blast round there. It is a fantastic run down to Newcastle etc! I used to live not far from Dundrod and used to get up there often, used to sit at the Joey Dunlop stand and just listen to the silence, sounds daft I know. Would just shut my eyes and remember the great times I had at the Ulster over all the years. I can still see Joey &Robert on the podium along with other greats even before there time, Redman, Hailwood, Agostini. Daft I know

Work starts tomorrow as even I am getting a bit bored now just a bit of tiling to break me in easy again after the summer. Have a mate and his wife down staying just now, will be glad when they have gone as the liver needs a rest. Still plenty to do if you are stuck for a weekend.
