Washed all the schmoo off the bike that it got on it yesterday. Then lubed up all the pegs and side stand as they were starting to get a bit crunchy.

New pads ordered for to fit later in the week :)

Im with yamfazfan in that I have always brought cars around 3 years old and they have all seemed to be ex mobility cars very well kept.

Whilst we are on the subject lets talk about disabled parking, mainly in supermarkets, they always seem to have way too many for the amount of cars using them I mean loads. I know that you can rule out the driver as they may the designated driver but quite often I cant help thinking "whats wrong with you" they seem quite able bodied to me.

My local asda petrol station has a pump designated disabled but it is exactly the same and people have been so conditioned that no one uses it as a normal pump.

You can't just look at someone and decide they look able bodied.
Physically they might look okay, but they may have breathing difficulties in which case parking nearer to an entrance can be a huge benefit, especially in cold weather.

Indeed. Thats why we have got Grace's sign coming in up here:

To many people think disability and associate it with "wheelchair".

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Re: Chinese Brake and Clutch levers
« on: 04 April 2017, 11:20:34 AM »
almost the exact same reason for me buying chinese levers Dave - the clutch was just too much of a reach. The chinese ones have been fine for me (long ones), but the anodising is tarnishing a bit as they age. for £20 its no major headache to buy another set if its a serious gripe.

And don't wonder if it's worth it - from someone who was lucky enough to have the treatment from Mike a couple of years ago - I STILL get smiles from it thousands of miles later... the full monty was worth every penny I paid.

Aye, just passing the vale of leven academy. No wonder, that was out of order. A bit of patience wouldn't have hurt him. Some of the patch guys that were there looked pretty hardcore.

Yeah but who's the silly ones in that situation? The ones that pay £500+ for a branded product just because said company says that's what it's worth,  or the one buying the same product Sans branding (aka fake) for a fraction of the cost because that's what it actually costs to produce.
If all these companies didn't take the piss with their prices then people wouldn't buy fake copies.
I know you get what you pay for with certain things but most of the time you pay a serious extra chunk just for branding

to be fair to the likes of apple etc, they HAVE to charge more for the product. the amount the item costs to make is only one piece of a much larger puzzle. remember they also need to cover the overheads involved in having numerous walk-in stores around the world where you can go in and get a problem seen to immdiately (i.e. a better level of customer support), and they also need to cover the huge R+D costs involved with designing and developing a new mobile. China just wait till it hits the market, buys one and pulls it to bits and then clones the parts to make the same thing - no shop, no R+D = huge savings in the total cost.

Same problem with the likes of halfords, your paying the premium to get the product there and then, if your fuse blows and you havent had the foresight to buy a box online in advance online (and for etc. your lights have packed in), then they have got you by the balls and you will need to pay what they want. again the ovrheads involved in running shops with staffing etc need to be paid for somewhere.

I think the prices Halfords charge are fair for what it is, it only seems expensive when you compare it to some online shop that is being run from someones shed with no overheads to worry about.

Seen this Firestick https://www.koditvstick.co.uk/products/amazon-fire-tv-stick-with-kodi-xbmc-firestick-android-tv-fully-loaded?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=googlepla&variant=6014202563&gclid=CjwKEAiAqozEBRDJrPem0fPKtX0SJAD5sAyHEnThqI68qJUa6iCL6xIyz8RMPH54rpJsd9paCiRlHxoCopbw_wcB

Now I'm presuming that you are paying someone £25 to load all the stuff on that is free of charge if I did it myself?

But the attraction is it will all work out of the box and according to the blurb, it's self updating so I shouldnt have to cock about, just plug it in and watch. Or is it too good to be true, because if it was, for £60 I'd give it a try.

Honestly mate, its not worth paying £25 to have the stuff installed. it can be installed as per the earlier videos in this thread within 10 minutes and it will update itself as well if you do that!

it is really very simple to do if you follow one of the many guides available.
