Was on my FZS600, will upload pic when i can, was bought from Kebab19 and had no issues with it at all.

Have the shims, but not sure i have the dog bones still looking for them.

Had a spring put on for me and a shim, as spring was a tad short, all that of course can be changed.

Anyone interested.

A note on the exhaust, in this pic, it does NOT have these down pipes on any more but you can see the furthest clamp i.e. 2nd one in, top left where you can see the OLD hole, where there was a stud, it was drilled opposite i.e. in a blank so clamp is not normal way around, no issue and works fine with the stock, and these headers, that aren't actually with the bike, sold them separate.

Local machine shop did the work as i took the head down.

Also, upgraded Hyperpro progressive fork springs.....not actually a bad bike just not being looked after and has some history i.e. exhaust bolt snapping carry on.

Not sure on price but my FZS600 is getting in my way and is not being used, done only a few miles past 2 years.

Needs front brakes sorting as starting to bind, not got an MOT....

19K miles on engine, has had issue where i snapped an exhaust stud, ended up with the cylinder head off to re-drill a blank opposite to allow exhaust to clamp, no issue since...some may recall the thread, i will never forget it :)

Any one interested would need to pick up and collect with a van, what would people say its worth, bearing in mind what it needs sorting....

- Braided Lines Hel
- Scoprion Exhaust
- Clean rear caliper
- Good chain
- Little bits of rust creeping in...

Will get some pics on later...not got time right now.

Also have an R6 shock that i got off a member here with the dogbones, so someone might want that, not on the bike right now, stock one is on...

Thanks

Chris

at least its only a hose, last time I had fluid dripping off my engine, it was water from the water pump dripping out the bottom of the engine, that was a night mare, water pump out etc...

can you use anything to re-seal hoses like that, while its off, i.e. melt the bit where the split is etc....might be stupid question but then I am no expert...

Looking to see if intrest in my fzs600 boxeye in blue

Reasonable condition, standard all around aside from End Can, HyperPro Springs, and Braided Lines

reason for sale just not used any more, was a good first bike for me a few years back but no more

20K ish miles, MOT due this week so should hopefully pass with clean bill of health

NB - You can see the inner Clamp is reversed, this is where i had to get a engine shop to drill into a blank as i tried to remove the old stud and could not

Small dent in tank, literally from where i think bars have hit it at some point, not sure, and light scuff on fairing....

Had issue with snapped exhaust stud, ended up with Cylinder head off and repaired at engine shop by drilling into a blank opposite, no issues since and no corrosion on the studs as all replaced, well looked after

Treated with hammerite as needed.....etc

Did have R6 shock on but removed - might sell but may also re-use

Rear tyre loads left literally done a few hundred miles....nice end can etc

Calipers re-built by powerhouse, all smooth, front and rear, new seals etc the lot no rust on pistions

Rear end stripped and re-greased i.e. swingarm pivot back....

No issues with leaking for seals, no funny noises from timing chains etc, runs real nice, starts on the button

New battery also purchased for it when i got it so not original old one but 3 years old...

Been garaged, has been ridden in all weather no reason not too.

As said, good condition, not a minter, but ideal first bike, i just do not use, MOT check will show that i.e. low milage etc, 1500 miles between 2015 MOT and one i tried to get recently but failed due to brakes and electrical issue on headstock harness, brakes serviced and new headstock wiring loom fitted so expext MOT pass

Wont sell without one, so still may not sell if not happy etc....

Location North East - Durham

Cheers

question, got the bushing and seals in with a seal driver i got.

All seems ok and have tested them out on the bike, no leaking!

But i have not tightened up the damper rod lock nut near the top, i cannot figure out how to hold the shaft and tighten it

update...

new forks needed seals doing, despite sellers assurances, but stanchions are fine, however does anyone have any tips on getting the Damper rod out.

If you have done this, you will know the Damper just spins when the bottom bolt is turned, so i need a way to hold it

Looks like a 27mm socket fits over part of it but i would need to make a tool from it...

Any tips?

So, reviving this old topic.

Fixed my brake issue on the fzs 600, but stuck with this so called problem.

I say that as i am not convinced there is actually an issue.

Can somone please tell me if there bike does this.

1. Power on
2. Turn on an indicator, and does the parking bulb small one at front right of light cluster that goes through bottom of cowling, in time with the indicator so the tinest dimming....
3. When pressing front or rear break does the buld in the front do the same..

I have checked ALL connections, all are fine, i ran a new ground, no difference at all...

I just used a AVO to check a few things - voltage drops on the battery...

When i turn the indicator on its consistently flickering 10th of a volt, so i am not surprised that the bulb up front shows some change in brightness.....or is this the issue, to me there is none, you can hardly tell...

what do i do here, i don;t think its an issue but MOT does, if anyone can comment on the above tests would be keen to know if anyone else has a dodgy or normal lighting setup
