Then the paint shop started doing drugs. I think it must have been heroin at Honda. I mean this is just depressing……

Here’s mine. I thought it looked fab. I think it still looks good, but I guess the paint shop boys were heading towards the tipping point at this stage.

I thought that was just a standard 2 stroke thing? My rs250 had 2 tiny pipes too?
That went like stink but sounded like crap Haha like someone blowing a trumpet Into a tin can 😂

Yeah the expansion chamber and small pipe like most two strokes, but's a super tiny pipe before the silencer.

I'd agree the 2002 red'n'black was one of best. Then they ruined it the following year by reversing the colours. Tried hard to get one of these but my RRW had lost too much, so the finances couldn't stretch to it. Kept it another 14 years, before letting it go.

They all went that way for a little while. I never liked that 'flung paint' look. In the end it was only the colour schemes that put me off having one of the new KLX 650's in 1993.
Seeing what a limited range of trail bikes are available now I'd happily have one, bonkers graphics or not

Yeah I mean sure they look even worse now, but even then a lot of us were thinking - what the foc is going on.
I reckon the GSX1100R nicely sums up the early 90's. A real man's bike, in shite colours, which in reality would be wasted by a well ridden CBR600F (possible in equally repugnant colours).

How can a bike be any more perfect?

I can't think of one thing I would change except for the tyres,just for the legality,fabulous!
