Speaking of Millyard.... check out this monstrosity. A v10 dodge motorbike 😳😳

And to keep it relevant to the post... it may not be cool looking but the technical ability of sticking a ridiculously massive, powerful car engine into a motorbike frame, is cool as foc 😉

Probably not quite cool, more bonkers, mental, mad.  But Millyard is something of a genius and does turn out some super cool shit.  The guy is amazing.

I remember him well,a proper character, this kind of thing was really groundbreaking then.If I remember right he'd go up against the twin engined Hobbit back in the day,we would go to Santa Pod fairly regularly then and it was always the same, you'd be really excited when you got there but after a few runs you'd be bored  :lol  we never stayed 'till the end,but E.J was approachable and friendly, ;)  then again most of the drag strip boys were, much more so than some of the racers of the day.

As well as the Hobbit around that time was the Norton twin engined Pegasus,  with Ian Messenger on board. Might have been sponsored by Bike magazine if I remember correctly. Great days at the Pod, especially if you liked yank cars. :thumbup

I quite like the look of those white downpipes actually. Is that bandage or white paint/enamel

Pretty certain the headers were sprayed. Maybe working on the theory of light colours dispelling heat quicker, but that's only my guess. I believe this bike is presently exibited at the Don Garlits museum in Ocala Florida. Went there in the late 80's, quite something even if you're not into drag racing.

Hmmmm  :book I know with household radiators they give out more heat it they are white as opposed to chrome because the chrome reflects the heat back in. So to follow that then a black rad would give out even more BTU's which would mean that black exhaust would allow more heat out through its walls than a white one. And don't they wrap exhausts with bandage to keep the gasses hotter to allow them to escape quicker so you don't want them to be dispelled through the wall of the pipes.
Hopfully some one will come along and explain.

I agree about the use of exhaust wrap but still think these headers are sprayed. Couple more pics, the 2nd shows a dent in one of the pipes.
