Hi
Im 50yrs old and only passed my test in november 2012 i went from a XT 125 to a 600 bandit it was Ok then a Kawasaki ZX9R bloody hated it
then went to a ZX7R i liked that better but found it hard going round town and when i did get it on a run found it hard to keep it under 100mph it just seemed to cruise nice at that i then got offered a 1000 fazer as a swap for the ZX7 i fell straight in love with it it handles Amazing even 2 up
But its certainly got a wild kick on it deffinatley not for the feint of heart they are Animals and id recommend 1 to every person who ever wanted to buy a bike

Ive Got the Exact same problem
I replaced the sensor ( not a hard job did a oil change at same time. )
But after 3 weeks same problem, Asked my local yam mech and all said above is correct. its a niggle rather than a problem
so with knowing its not a pressure sensor i disconnected the wire from the sensor (un plugged 1 wire from loom Easy job too)
Red light out just keep regular eye on oil level.

Job Done :)

Hi Again all
1stly id like to say thanks for the help with the advice i got from the lads on the forum
about my front sprocket noise loosened off chain and its now not whining Thankyou
well i just cant believe my luck i just got all my bike sorted out after spending a few quid to
get her back to the condition shes in
SUM ASSHOLE tried to nick my bike whilst out last week and basically shafted the ignition barrel
it still works but could start it with a 1p piece. I know i have been Very lucky in not loosing my bike'

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Whining from front sprocket area
« on: 26 September 2013, 05:26:08 pm »
Hi All
I have recently got my Fazer 1000 all up and running again after a bit of a breakdown
just had to spend a fair bit of cash but up to now worth it.
BUT i have a whining from around the front sprocket (please dont let it be serious) i just lost my job
could anyone give me some advice on what it could be.
just had new clutch and springs and new chain and sprockets fitted but was whining before i had that done but seems little quieter since work was done
as front sprocket nut was loose common fault on fazers i been told the bike has done 58k but always been very well looked after.

thanks

Introduction / Newbie fazer owner
« on: 21 August 2013, 08:02:58 pm »
Hi All
Im Andy im 49 years old and just got back into biking i passed my test November last year
to break myself in i bought a 600 bandit very nice i really liked it but got used to it so went for summat different and looking back now wish id kept the bandit had a ZX9R streetfighter & a ZX7R sports bike i wasnt happy with either of them.
A friend of mine suggested a Fazer 1000 so i went to look at 1 or 2 and found a nice one at the right price with a little work to do
So what do i think I LOVE IT great power good looking and shit hot handling. I really feel comfy and safe on this machine.
so time to get it back to the stud it should be
new rear tyre, new Renthal chain & sprockets, new heavy duty clutch & springs, Brake pads all round, carbs cleaned & balanced, Full Service and new MOT pending.
So Thats me Hope theres more owners of fazers near me for a ride out sometime soon
