Is this a magazine's mock up or is it real?
I'm not instantly attracted to it as I was all previous Fazers :(

That to me looks more of the same, nothing wrong Fazers as they are but if bringing out a new model surely a step away from current designs would be a positive step if you want to catch up on your market share, lets face it the FZ 8 great bike but has not sold that well really.
MT-09 Tracer for those who no longer can handle a BIG boy Fazer

Based on a translation, all the images in the article are interpretations based on what they think the respective bikes might look like if released

"The drawings that we show are free interpretations by Oberdan Bezzi and Bar Design." - The result of the translation

There is nothing on Yamahas main news feed, so maybe a mock up as already suggested.

Its just someone been using their etch-a-sketch. Just look at the bodywork sticking out under the seat, it would be in the way of the rider's legs.

Just a mock up, well we can all dream of what we would like the next big fazer to be. Personally I dont see 115 bhp as anywhere near enuff. We need 150 at least !!

It will have to be a 1200 for sure, me I think the new 1200 KTM duke will be a absolute scorcher...whats that got ........ 180 bhp !!!!!!      :eek

Could well end up being something like an 1100 if Yamaha decide to make a triple big bore sports bike! Would have to be a bit bigger than the standard 1000cc IL4 bikes to get the power figures up.
Would be interesting to see how they'd make that engine and still keep the bike light though!

I think the fazer will go the way of the bandit and numerous other japs...the first series will be the best looking and the classics, after that they gradually morph into a curvy ubiquitous bleurgh....
Don't get me wrong..I think my gen two is the best bike I have ever owned (I've had an awful lot over the last 38 years), but it ain't no looker...
