Nah, bought the tank, nose, and seat off Redrat, new levers, clutch cable, choke cable, rear pads, sprockets, right hand rear pillion hanger, fairing infill, underseat panel, sports yellow screen, and plasikote spray paint (BBQ heat matt black, super gloss, and plastic black. Removed the exup valve and cables all fooked but left the servo operable still goes like chiswick off the proverbial shovel, my boy thinks it may have lost a little low down power but i cant notice any difference still wants pop up in each gear !!! Oil changed with new filter jobs a good 'un. The ivanised carbs and the R6 rear unit made it an easy decision to try and resurrect quite glad i did, need a ignition switch now as the original one after 61k is quite well worn and is being a little tempermental. I have posted on the Wanted thread. Cheers you Foccers. :)

Well done :thumbup almost a Ship of Theseus but nonetheless excellent.
Sort those headers though.
600 wet & dry down to 1200 using plenty of soapy water, then fine wire wool, finishing with Solvol will bring them up a treat.

Cheers DekF, thanks for the constructive comments, more of a Banana Boat than the Ship of Thesus though. :lol will get to work on the 'eaders later.

Thanks lads for the kind words, but please the bike is as good as i can afford at the moment , the main thing for me at the ripe old age of 62 is to have a bike that is well shod ,good brakes, suspension, and steering and that I've got . I'm so lucky still to be able chuck my little short fat leg over the beast and to unleash her around this beautiful part of Wales. :)
-
Are you showing it off at the Bike Shed meeting this Sunday then? ;)

If I can make it, I'm looking to see if Slimwilly has brought his pillion portaloo with him. :b
