Idle compare
« on: 04 May 2017, 09:42:35 am »
Hello,

How would you compare my running idle with an optimal setting?

I have tried balancing the carbs, the spark plugs are very new (NKG CR9E).

(How do I embed video?)

Mines probably the same cold and super smooth when warmed up after a good motorway run.

Just turn up the tickover on the carbs a notch if it bothers you.

someone will be along in a minute to suggest you check or renew your air filter, although you're meant to do that before you balance the carbs.

Ah yes, forgot to mention that I already changed for a new DNA air filter.

Thanks for confirming that it's around where it should be :)

TBH, I can't really see much of an issue there.  I slight flutter, but nothing serious.  - How much time do you spend idling vs riding?

If it was me, I'd have been more of a perfectionist and got closer on the carb balance, but I'd say you were within acceptable levels.
