FZ6 / Fazer / Re: It feels like someone is flicking the engine kill

Hi there,

I had a similar experience and it turned out to be the killswitch itself. The contacts start wearing of and then when you hit the slightest bump in the road it loses contact and cuts the engine. It may be worth checking that because it a lot less work involved.

Having to pump twice to me points to the master cylinder, try an new kit and also make sure you replace all the washers where the pipes connect. Why the pads wears off at an angle to me sound like the bracket where the caliper mounts on is maybe bent. This could put pressure on the side of the pistons preventing it from sliding back properly which creates the friction on the disks. Hope this helps.

FZ6 / Fazer / Showing and clearing error codes
« on: 08 July 2015, 01:35:45 pm »
Hi there,

I am trying to find out how you display and clear the error codes on my Fazer 600. I know Yamaha does some combination with the ignition and the kill switch. Does anyone know the correct procedure perhaps?

Hope someone can assist.

Regards
