my son is selling his 1999 fazer 600,as a project it has been sat outside and used for work for the last three years so needs a little tlc,the mot and tax ran out in september 15 it has corrosion on the engine finns ect and bits and bobs all over,but it does benefit from new tyres stainless headers ,rack and top box,has heated grips,cant remember exact mileage but at last mot it was 28800,and has not done much more since then,it has always started on the button and yesterday i put jump leads on it and it started almost straight away,the battery was new last year i will charge it and se if it will recover, will try and take some pics in next few days and upload,hes looking for £700 for the bike we are located in fleetwood lancs anyone wishing to have a look just send me a pm.

hi,if you have not bought a bike yet have a look at the xj900 diversion,thet are often for sale with luggage,superb touring bike very comfy,i own one and have owned an fzs600 my son now has it ,but two up the xj is far better,your very lucky to live in spain i drove a truck for ten years doing many trips to spain,i will be going on my bike in the next year or so cant wait,good luck in finding the right bike

That guy in cardiff is the one i was looking at scooters and bikes cheapest on the bay,i supose at that price its worth a go,and for a few hours in the shed gets me out of painting or something in the house

has anyone used the nikone fork oil seals ,they are quite cheap(£8 delivered) compared to dealers own,dust seals i will buy for def,but the oil seals do the work but how well?

i have for sale a fzs 600 99 on a t only done 8k has service history old mots ect two keys 6 months tax and mot,i had this bike on ebay for 1650 ,but fork seals are weeping and at the moment i have a big diy project going on so am looking a quick sale had new battery plugs oil+filter at last mot goes very well looks great,the ebay listing no was 290711377129 you can still get the add up with this no,now looking for 1250 ovno.

problem sorted it was the drive lugs snapped off,£17 from yamaha main dealer it looked like they are different with plastic ring and drive tabs but fit and worked ok, happy days,thanks for all your help guys,

thanks for your suggestions chaps ,will have a look in the morning hopefully an easy fix,last time the wheel was off was about 500 milles ago when i got a new tyre,refitted the wheel myself so if the wires trapped only got me to blame,will let you know as soon as,cheers.

 hi all,out on the bike today and doing about 60 ish and speedo just droped and hasnt worked since,any ideas guys .everything else electric wise is ok?does it have a fuse for the speedo alone?or any common faults with speedo,s help!!

hi,have a 99 on a t reg just under 8000 miles loads service history old mot,s two keys datataged ect i am third owner but the second owner never rode it he sat it in his garage for two years was going to do his test but never did, lovely bike needs nothing ,metalick red paintwork virtualy unmarked ,has mot to i think october tax end of this month but can tax it further,looking for 1700 ono,can email pics ect,only seling to upgrade to a 1000 cc tourer,if interested pm me,thanks ernie.

hi iforwms,i may be selling my 99 on a t,but it all depends on if my brother is selling me his 1000,he is looking for another bike,my bike has just 8000 miles on it with stamped history and every mot,its red and in lovely condition,if i do sell it will be £1600 and not a penny less,just had mot and has six month tax,new rear tyre new battery,oil just changed,if your interested pm me and we can talk,i can send pics ect,i am located in fleetwood lancs,cheers ernst.

hi easy rider 13,i used to sell cars saxo,s 106,s aimed at young people,and having young sons of my own i know not everyone has a mechanical outlook,so i used to sell them a car and give them a course on how to change wheels and check oil ect ect,and believe it or not those who understood the least were the boys,we all have something we are good at,i am good with my hands,others are good in the head (brainy)and it gets me so anoyed when i read things like your post that some think they are above anyone male or female,and talk to you like you are an idiot,just think of it like this they think you are stupid ,why because its them who are stupid ,because there outlook is narrow to say the least,next time you need your wheels balancing just tell them to do the job they are paid for,ok rant over,but i am sure you know were i am coming from,keep it shiny side up,cheers. ps great chioce of bike i have a 1999 600 fazer good machine,

hi,just thought i will say hello, new to fazer forum dare i say it sold my bandit and bought a 98 fazer 600 with only 7k on the clock,love the bike but will def have to modify the lights,look forward to picking a brain or to cheers all.
