Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Re: Infill panels: mod to prevent cracking?
« on: 02 November 2015, 08:18:38 pm »
My original infill panels had a strip of foam all along the edge that meets the fairing. The replacement doesn't come with this so vibration of the fairing puts stress on the edge of the infill panel.

I've have a lifetime guarantee socket set from Halford for 30yrs. Only ever had one issue. Cracked a socket (when I was using an extension tube on the ratchet). Didn't tell them that bit and they replaced it.

I had this sort of symptom and it was a partially blocked air intake. Have you tried running it with no filter just to see if there is a difference.

Some years ago it used to be a case of sticking to all red circle speed signs but in national limit areas the term 'making progress' was used where higher speeds were allowed as long as it was still done safely.

IAM cannot be seen to condone breaking the law, therefore all assessments and training etc are conducted within all speed limits.

You could go for the hydro dipping option if your on a budget like me.

I wouldn't get a fader thou for your 1st bike. A foxeye 600 would b perfect, good handling and size, still plenty of speed.

I notice in this video he has a keel on the front wheel too, to stop it sinking. Where as guy Martin's set up only had one on the back.
Still bloody impressive though.

My last phone was a Sony Xperia and had no issues, good camera etc, android, system updates no problem. Never had any crashes or issues with phone.
Just upgraded and looked at S6 but went for the Xperia Z3+. Great spec and waterproof with a free set of headphones worth hundreds supposedly.
I have the Z1 which is playing up now (memory constantly at full limit) was interested in the Z3+ but there's reports of it being very buggy- any noticeable software problems?
I have had no issues so far, performed like my z but faster.

I used to watch chips on the telly as a kid. Also used to cycle constantly so adding an engine was the next step.

When I went to one a few years ago there was one guy turned up late. He kicked off when they wouldn't let him in. He tried to hit one of them so they arrested him and the police took him away. The tutor said he smelt of drink too. It certainly made it interesting. I got a letter of apology in the post a few weeks later for the disruption to the course, lol.

One of my favourite paint schemes is the cb1300, maybe you could adapt that for a fazer.

For 4k it would be a tidy pan 1300. If you had a bit more you could look at a bmwk1300gt, supposed to be fast but has bmw funny front end and reliability. I do like the fjr but it feels like a long lazy fazer. Not really much better comfort or weather protection over a fazer thou.

Top of my wish list for touring is the bmwk1600gt but your talking 11k for the oldest ones.

The only screen I have found that is as tall and wide is a rifle screen, or a National Cycle screen, both from USA.

I have found the screen, not good news. It was made by TCP in Holland. However they have gone out of business. It was a touring screen with hand protectors.

I have one of those screens for sale mate!!!

What make is that screen, I see there are some black extensions to the fairing. Are they part of the screen or from somewhere else. I have an mra vario screen at the moment but I get lots of wind noise.
